It is hard to understand DuracellEnergizer and darklordoftech and their double standards. :P

I utterly despise this character

and therefore am so very happy he doesn't show up in TCW.

Wasn't he in the first series though? The non CGI one?

Where were you in '77?

Let's just say that Heroes utterly ruined my ability to like characters capable of rapid cellular regeneration and leave it at that.

I loved Harrison's jokeyness in the film as a kid.  As an adult it seems to me he did not want to do the film and is phoning in his performance.

“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.

I hate how the EU seems to deliberately miss every oppertunity for something awesome. KOTOR II hints at a pre-Great Schism Sith Empire, and what does SWTOR do? Reveal that it's just a remnant of the Great Hyperspace War Sith Empire (and no, this doesn't have anything to do with the things that myself, duracell, and imperialscum have argued over). The Unifying Force reveals that The Force doesn't really have light and dark sides, and what do the books that take place afterwards do? Not only do they forget that revelation, they also have the Jedi become just like their prequel selves.

Denning  sort of continues the thought through to his latest book though.  Its only abandoned by the other authors.

Though it all comes apart with the literal luminous beings and mortis.

I personally prefer the Aing-Tii perception of the Force -- that the Force isn't simply light or dark, but an entire spectrum of various colours.

^Did I ever mention that I hate that goddamn character? He is Star Wars' answer to every stupid looking rubber forehead alien that has every shown up in Star Trek. Does he wear some kind of concealed antigravity harness to keep that ridiculously long neck upright in Earth-type+ gravity? Seriously -- that damn thing should be broken sixteen different ways and flopping around like a flacid Willy Wonka bar.

The entire EU is built upon the back of the original WEG RPG source books. Which I always thought was great as they were incredibly well done. I've never felt lost while reading a SW novel but then I stopped once the NJO dropped. Are the current novels that badly written?

The WEG RPG sourcebooks should be easier to obtain in that case.

Yes. Among other things, Jacen is a completely different character in DNT and LOTF.

I wonder how different the adult Jacen is from the kid Jacen in the Young Jedi Knights book series. In the latter, he was a teller of bad jokes.

Celestials. Precursor races are a sci-fi cliche that doesn't belong in Star Wars.

As long as they don't use precursor races to explain the origins of every single human and rubber forehead alien in the galaxy, I don't see the problem with them.

The double standard against the novelizations and the making of books. If they're not canon, how is any of the EU canon?

This isn't a criticism of the fact that the SWTOR Sith are human, but rather of how the SWTOR Sith being human was explained. The explanation that we're given is that the red alien genes were bred out. However, in TOTJ, and even the timeline of SWTOR's own website, it's the human genes that have been bred out. Therefore, SWTOR should have mentioned a massive human population joining the red alien population.

I also want to say that the Sith being red aliens is a KJAism. KJA also made the Mandalorians a species! TOTJ itself suggests that Veitch intended the original Sith tribe to be a group of humans, not a species.
