This Thread was the last thing I read.
I read an ogham stone about the proper way to summon lord loss and his familiars to wreak havoc on the filthy human land.

Phhh, we needed another of them.

The last thing I was reading was a Discover magazine from April, 2009.
That's a long time to go without reading.
Haha, no I'm just reading a bunch of old magazines. I rarely go more than a day without reading (recreationally that is).
This post, which I'm writing right now.
edit: finished.

I really like it so far. It's my first Star Wars book.
What did you ultimately think of it?
It's ne of my favorite Star Wars novels. It's completely uncontaminated by Lucas. A true (and intended) sequel to Star Wars. I go back to it occasionally when I want to clear my head.

Thanks.
Got Doctor Sleep for Xmas. It's a sequel to the Shining. Seems alright so far.
"Cup of Gold"
first novel by a kid named John Steinbeck. Wonder if he did anything else good.
John Steinbeck as in the author of The Grapes of Wrath?
The Grapes of Wrath... is that a wine list?
EDIT: Just me being dumb. Move along, move along...
It's obvious to me he's just kidding around.
That's what I figured. I wasn't sure though. I ought to know better. :P
The last book I finished reading was an abridged copy of Don Quixote. It was going good until Dorothea became a pushover and took Fernando back; that killed the book for me.
Maybe the unabridged version makes it easier to swallow. *shrug*
The book I'm currently reading is The Complete Stories by Flannery O'Connor. Too many stories drag, though, and many of the endings are too abrupt.
I need to get back into reading. I used to read a lot, but I haven't read a single book in the past year and I have no good excuse. :-/
A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

I wish it was possible to have as much free time in my adulthood as I do now. I'm currently reading fifty-something books at once, but I won't be able to do that much longer. :P
Watching Sherlock series 3 put me in the mood for Holmes in a big way, so I recently started reading the original works, which I haven't done since I was a kid. Just read The Sign of the Four last night, and found it rather thrilling and excellent. Moving on to the short stories soon.

I'm currently reading The Han Solo Adventures by Brian Daley, and I've finished the first two books and am currently on the third.
Han Solo at Stars' End wasn't all that engaging, though it picked up enough at the end to make it worthwhile, while Han Solo's Revenge was the complete opposite -- the story engaged me at first, but it floundered and fell flat at the end.
Overall, they're decent stories with decent characterization, and they succeed at making the SW Universe feel larger by taking place in regions beyond the Empire. But unless Han Solo and the Lost Legacy proves to be a truly excellent story that makes up for the shortcomings of its predecessors, I won't be keeping my copy of the book.
Not having read any Star Wars books in quite some time, this thread hasn't been bumped and no one has posted in it:
For those reading this thread who have read Star Wars books, please review them and rate them in that thread for the benefit of others on this forum. I'll copy your review to my first post so that people can easily find the review they're looking for, and sort the books alphabetically if people actually bother to use the thread.
