How about Michael Fassbender, he's great in everything, even poorly recieved movies. He adds a touch of class. Typical reviews go...
"I didn't care for Prometheus/X-Men:First Class/Inglourious Basterds but the film is still worth seeing just for Michael Fassbender"
He'd make an awesome Sith Lord or Imperial Admiral. Ooooooh look, somebody else on the intra-web has had the same idea...

Gotta be a part somewhere for Dinklage. Look here he is hiding in the Death Star throne room while Darth Tywin taunts him about his incestous sister lol

They have to get Dennis back...
The huge popularity of Wedge far outweighed the small time he spent on screen. Would be good to give the character more space, he could return as an elder-statesmen General in the new republic.

Let's get Mon Mothma back too..

Yeah, Wedge has got to be in the movie. Maybe he's an admiral by now? They could probably lure Lawson back with promise of going out in a blaze of glory or something. If Wedge buys the moisture farm, then none of our heroes are safe!
Where were you in '77?

Whoever it is, somebody we love needs to die in the first third of Episode VII, to give the (Presumeably peaceful) galaxy a shake up.
^ I could put money on JJ opening his trilogy with a set-piece like this

Is it too late to say Peter Dinklage?
If not, him.
“Grow up. These are my Disney's movies, not yours.”
^I like that idea.
Richard Herring was asked about EpisodeVII, he advised JJ to "Put a Shrek in it"

I agree times a thousand!
He is a great actor and played a loved character with wide recognition from the original movies.
I have also been thinking of John Rhys-Davies... Only because, well.. for a scifi/fantasy adventure saga, it is compulsory to have JRD. :)
This man simply HAS to be in Episode VII
Imperial Officer? or remnants of the empire... Baldrick could do the job
Baldrick wouldn't know a cunning plan if it painted itself purple, danced naked on top of a harpsichord singing, "cunning plans are here again!"
Well, we have Stormtrooper Baldrick, we need Hugh Laurie as a ditzy imperial officer!
JEDIT: Oh, and Stephen Fry as Grand Moff Melchett... BAAAH!!!

LOL!! oh and not forgetting Rowan Atkinson as a wily, cunning, sarcastic but ultimately yellow Imperial Captain.
Gonna add Ray Wise and Kevin J. O'Connor to my list.
How about Josh Holloway?
We already know he can play a Han Solo Character thanks to JJ

I watched the new Halo movie, and was really impressed with the presence of Anna Popplewell. I guess she was in the Narnia movies too, but I don't recall.

I used to work with a girl who looked exactly (I mean exactly) like Anna Popplewell. Narnia posters always made me do a comedy double-take lol

I think Abrams should comb the british and european talent for the movies. They've got american actors whipped as far a talent goes. I would like to see:
Michael Fassbender(great choice^^)
Kate winslett
Gabriel Byrne
Ralph Fiennes
Guy Pierce
Judi Dench
Anthony Hopkins
ian mckellen
carrie ann moss
adrian brody

Wasn't Gabriel Byrne rumoured to be in line for a role in the PT? Bet he was pleased (in hindsight) that that never happened Lol.
^ How about David Warner. The guy is an SF acting legend. One of the all time greats. Yet as far as I know he has never been in Star Wars, how is that even possible???? Time to rectify this one JJ!
^ Perhaps his greatest role as the dastardly Dr Klench, arch nemesis of Professor Nebulous!

He has actually played the Doctor twice and Steel in the Sapphire and Steel Big Finish audios.
It would be nice for him to complete the set as it would for Noel Clarke and Simon Pegg to do the hat-trick.
Good call RM! I Forgot about him! To add to my choices: Brian Cox, Juliette Binoche, Kenneth Brannagh, Jeremy Irons, Ian Mcshane, Alfred Molina, Sam Neill, Michael Sheen, Emma Thompson, Max Von Sydow, Emily Watson, Naomi Watts.
