This was actually in my local record store the other day. I noticed a box at the front counter where they keep all kinds of novelty items, and saw it was some kind of food item...then I realized I was actually looking at a box of Soylent green. I said aloud: "NO Way! There is NO WAY they actually made a box of Soylent green!" The guy at the register really had no clue what I was going on about. So I just smiled and said "it's people" of course.

Now: leftover oversteeped white tea.

Been sorting out the disaster area (thanks to this year's rain) of the garden.

While about my enterprise I pulled up some carrots and onions and some rosemary and had Roasted Carrot, Onion and Rosemary Pasta.

I had a bag of tortellini in the fridge which I used but dried pasta would have worked just as well.

Had an out of season egg salad.

I've also been eating lots of celery, lost the half stone I put on after quitting the nicotine gum and I'm well on my way to losing another half stone.

I'm still a fattyboomboom.

I just made some soup out of the greens from the onions and elephant garlic I've just pulled up (with a few potatoes thrown in for good measure).

I also made a couscous salad for later it's in the fridge right now.

I had a nice salad for lunch with some leftover rice and chicken stew.

I made carrot and coriander soup and baked a loaf.

I tried something new to me when baking the bread.

I got the grill pan and filled it with boiling water this raised the temperature in the oven beyond the normal maximum and resulted in a very well risen and fast cooked loaf.

Tasted nice too.

I have still a large quantity of small carrots so I might make a couple of shepherds pies in the week.
