Keep in mind it should be something you actually would want to see, and it would have to be canon. Besides that, it can be anything you want, and he weirder, the better.

I’ve got an idea for a film that’s basically a Lovecraftian horror story set in the Star Wars Universe.
Two Jedi archaeologists – a master and his newly appointed apprentice – are sent to serve as consultants on a remote backwater planet where the ruins of a long extinct civilization have been unearthed. Apparently, this civilization wiped itself millions of years ago after succumbing to some bizarre pandemic which caused them all to develop conflicting memories about themselves, their peers, and the history of their world, driving them to homicidal madness in the process.
As the archaeological team digs deeper and deeper into the ruins, they, too, begin to suffer from the madness which wiped out this lost civilization, recalling conflicting memories about themselves, their peers, and the universe around them.
Eventually, it is discovered that this plague of madness is caused by some bizarre orb buried at the heart of the ruins – an orb which serves as a window into the multiverse. Anyone who gets too close to the orb and its emanations gains the memories of their counterparts in other timelines, driving them insane in the process.
In the end, the Jedi master sacrifices himself by merging with the orb, defeating it in the process. His apprentice, who suffered prolonged exposure to the radiations of the orb, is left insane, unable to distinguish one reality from another, existing in multiple worlds at once.
OK… Here goes nothing…
Ever since watching Into the Spiderverse I have been obsessed with the concept of a multiverse and how it could be used by other franchises- namely Star Wars and the MCU. I wouldn’t be afraid to go crazy, though this may turn some of you off for how I “disrespect” the original saga:
Warning: this contains a lot of fan favorite characters so it might be best to make into an animated spinoff.
A couple years after ROTJ, Jedi Master Luke finds Palaptine’s hidden vault. Inside is a strange portal… to what they call The World Between Worlds.
The Alternative Timeline
Our Luke awakens to find himself trapped in a parallel universe…
A world where Anakin Skywalker struck down Chancellor Palaptine rather than Mace Windu
Windu thanks Anakin for saving his life, but shortly after Anakin realizes Windu is leaning towards the dark side. It turns out anyone with unlimited power turns rotten eventually. When he confronts him about it things turn aggressive and they walk away political enemies.
Windu declares Palaptine a byproduct of a corrupt Senate, and “temporarily” disbands it placing the Jedi in charge. Padmé is a fierce opposer of this and leads a major campaign against possible Jedi Tryanny. It is during a march where she is assassinated.
Anakin is heartbroken by the loss of his wife and children, and flees towards the outer rim where he finds Yoda and the other pure Jedi aren’t dead from the clone wars but rather secretly imprisoned by Windu… Anakin frees him and they promise to build a “rebel alliance”…
OTL Luke is astonished to learn in this universe, his father is everything he hoped he would be. He wants to meet him in his prime. And ATL Anakin feels the same way, as his children had been taken from him before they were born.
So you have a really interesting team up that I think plays off the OT well. What if Luke actually meet his father in his prime?
I’m not sure about the rest of the story. It would be fun to subvert character expectations- by this I mean Boba Fett a loyal rebel in this timeline seeking revenge against Windu, Jyn and Cassian imperial operatives, Darth Maul working as a secret assassin for the Corrupt Jedi.
Obi-Wan will be a figure to be redeemed like OTL Anakin. I think Mace should be the big bad, having been corrupted by power.
Luke agrees to help the rebel cause and even teaches them a thing or two. At the end of the day they save this universe’s day and Luke has to watch his father die again. In the end, a brutally scared ATL Mace follows Luke through the portal… calling himself “Snoke”.
^Okay you knew I had to sneak that in.
Law & Order: Coruscant
Infinate alternate timelines invalidate all actions taken by characters, so I’m uneasy about both those first proposals on that basis. They’re also much more sci-fi than SW’s usually fantasy, but since this is supposed to be weird pitches, that’s a good thing. Overall, heyre pretty good though, and I appreciate the thought and effort put into them. They both sound very interesting.
A movie about the Dianoga and Sarlacc.
The name’s Lawson. Noah Lawson.

Multiverses don’t have to be infinite.

As a life long Jaxxon fan, I approve! 😃

I would read a TL for this story.
The way Rogue One fits so well with Star Wars, I could go for more stories like that. I could go for one about the Bothan spies that leads up to Return of the Jedi. The best would be a Darth Vader movie taking place directly after Revenge of the Sith.

Don’t the comics fill that niche?
No.

And you think that’d be weird?

Star Wars is real.
Physics don’t work that way.
How about a movie like War Horse, but it follows the life of a droid as it is being passed from owner to owner over a 50-100 year time period? Kind of a weird plot structure, with potentially interesting character interactions.
Threepio must have had a history before Anakin pieced him together. He certainly didn’t build him from scratch.

Now I know how Frink felt back when I was obsessed with parallel universes.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
A George Lucas directed Jar Jar standalone. Seriously.
