deleted.
seems like it does it in random posts.
It’s been doing it in nearly every thing I post.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

OK I just noticed it and I’m using Firefox 54. For example instead of a question mark I see something which looks like an url encoded string. And btw I just noticed it happened only in the off-topic section, but it works perfectly here
For example my first post here : http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/fill-in-the-blank-Just-Died/id/14534/page/61 - how do you BTW link to a specific post?
Is there anybody who experienced it, had it go away, and then come back on the same device with the same browser?

Use the post ID number. You can get it by quoting the post.
post/id/1084830
Or just quote, preview, and copy the link address on the link that says:

I have been using the same browser, and sometimes it happened and a few times it did not.
So, this issue has never hit me, until now as i was lightly poking fun at the fact that it did not affect me.
Then i took that garbled text, decoded it because i wanted mine to look “fixed”
https://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/dencoder/
pasted that cleaned up text in my post editor, and clicked preview, and BOOM, it is broken in the preview and in the text box now.
I broke it on purpose%21
So guess what%2C add a space after your punctuation and you can break things.
So guess what? add a space after your punctuation and you can break things.
Only seems to matter at the end of a paragraph
I suggest we leave this in place as a feature, that points out lazy typists who put trailing spaces on things.
To test%2C or not to test.
To test, or not to test.

I’m not lazy, I just press the space bar twice to add a period.
all you%27ll need is a a trailing space
I think this wins the award for the weirdest bug.

ehh, i’m gonna still call that lazy.

i want it to be named after you.
So Jay, any chance you recently updated markdown and that broke this?

Everything was upgraded in this release. You guys are definitely right that the trailing space is causing the problem, but my testing shows that the bug only appears on the latest release of Node (8.1.2). Reverting back to the stable channel (6.11.0) has resolved the issue. It’s possibly a bug in the beta, but it could be an incompatibility between 8.1.2 and the form parsing module. I’ll test it again when version 8 achieves LTS. That’s what I get for playing with beta software in a production environment.
Thanks for everyone’s assistance in debugging. I doubt I would’ve identified the issue without your help.

It’s fixed! Thanks Jay.
Glad to help, I just sorta stumbled upon it, glad I no longer have to see all those jumbled posts. 😁
For those of you seeing it, do you see it on the post preview before submitting?
I sometimes see it in my preview. Sometimes my posts have it, other times, everything is ok.
