Hi, everyone. I have been an avid Star Wars fan for many years and have been reading these forums for a long time before signing up today. Unlike all of my friends, I was raised on the original versions of the trilogy and I can’t stand Lucas’ SE’s. I really appreciate all the work you guys have been doing to preserve the original trilogy in the best format possible. I have the 1995 Widescreen Faces Box VHS set which I’m transfering to DVD with my dual-layer burner. I want to get the laserdiscs, but I can’t at this point. I’m also currently working on recreating the original 70mm mix for Empire from the Faces and the '97 SE tracks. I want to do more research before attempting the 70mm Star Wars mix.
I downloaded the 50 Megabyte MP3 of the mono capture of the '85 UK TV tape, but I was wondering if any of you know where to find the 322 megabyte lossless file somewhere other than the newsgroups (or the uncompressed .wav). If so, I would really appreciate it if someone could post a link for a couple days so I could download it and include it in my project.
Thanks a lot, everyone. As I said, I really appreciate your dedication and I want to get involved in some of the great things you do.

“Back when we made Star Wars, we just couldn’t make Palpatine as evil as we intended. Now, thanks to the miracles of technology, it is finally possible. Finally, I’ve created the movies that I originally imagined.” -George Lucas on the 2007 Extra Extra Special HD-DVD Edition
