Help: looking for... Harry Potter extended cuts

Does anyone have the Extended cuts of the three Harry Potter movies? Either as files that can be torrented or that could be copied and send to me via snail mail. I’m in the UK, so anyone who has them and could ship them, please let me know, I can supply blank media if that’s any easier.

I used to watch an Episode of STAR WARS almost every night (no ep 1-3) for the last 4 years or so (well over 1500 times each) while I've worked on covers, emails or DVD's. But truth be told I've NOT watched SW, ESB or ROTJ (completely) since the first Harry Potter DVD came out!!

The ADM Extended/Edits are GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

while we're on the subject does anyone have or know where to find a copy of the theatrical version of the first harry potter film?
Two short clips were removed from all the releases I know of, I'd really like to see them as it always annoys me while watching the DVD as I remember seeing them in the cinema, but can't remember them exactly.

from IMDB:
DVD version eliminates some dialogue from the theatre version:
An extended shot of Quirell, saying " I can't master.." after Voldemort said "Get the stone."
An extended dialogue between Dumbledore and Harry, where Dumbledore mentioned that Harry's father saved Snape.


I know it's not much but I'd like to see it and I don't understand why they were removed.

I'm not sure if they are included in the ABC extended cut.

I'm sure somebody with ADM's extended versions will be able to get them to those who wanted them. However, if you're wanting the ABC Television Cuts (which have more footage that isn't featured on the DVDs) then you're out of luck. As of yet, I don't think anyone has captured these and made them into DVDs/torrents.

I know it's not much but I'd like to see it and I don't understand why they were removed.
Just becuase someone "remembers" them and posted them on IMDB doesn't mean it was aver in the movie.

It's not "someone" that remembers them, I remember them, at least the first one anyway, I couldn't remember which of the first 2 films it was from but I knew it was there. I know a few people think they saw the biggs scenes in star wars and almost certainly didn't, but there are a lot of people who remember this scene, I don't mind if you believe it or not, but I'm pretty sure my memory serves me corectly.

Out of curiousity, I compared my DVD with an old bootleg cam I had right after I posted. The two scenes are EXACTLY the same.

I don't know. Maybe you saw an international version or something, but as far as the US goes, these bits weren't removed.

I'll admit you are bringing doubt into my mind, but the American edition was a different cut to any other version simply due to the sorcerer/philosopher difference (I'm in the UK so I saw the international version), maybe a mistake was made in editing, seems unlikely I'll admit, but I was bothered by remembering this scene before I ever read about it.

I'd like to get to the bottom of this, from what you say the american DVD is the american theatrical version, but maybe the international version was slightly different. I'd love to find a bootleg or screener made of the international version. If anyone has one sitting around can you take a look at it, as I assume it wouldn't have been looked at since the DVD came out.

There's no difference between the US/International cuts. All that happened was the actors did an alternate take to compensate the American audiences. I too have an old bootleg, the first one I bought in fact (And it's on 2 VCD'S - Nasty) and I can confirm that it isn't on there.

I'm in the UK too and would love these discs - plus I don't mind paying it forward.

So the pay it forward plan is as follows:

Malbie will post them to me, I will run off copies for myself, and then send them forward to Max_Rebo. DrVenkman, if you can PM your address to Max, he will post them on to you.

I hope everyone is fine with this.

I'm not sure about Malbie, but it appears that everyone else is in the UK, so turnaround for myself to DrVenkman should be no more than a fortnight.

I'm sorry to go on about this but is it a bootleg of the sorcerer's stone or the philosopher's stone? if it is the philosopher's i.e. bootlegged in the U.K. I'll give up on this and damn my stupid memory.

I'm almost positive that my copy is '...The Philosophers Stone'.

The cover says '...Sorcerers Stone' but that's because it's the only copy I could find.

Hey folks,

I am looking for a kind soul here who would do me the honor of
providing me with a PIF of HP #1-3.

In a tale of woe some of you might find "interesting," I initially
requested these in this other request thread on the forum
10 days back. Unfortunately, the person who WAS going
to send me a copy was unable to do so a couple days later.
Instead, he asked me to contact another person for the disc
set, who forwarded me to another person, which in turn led
to Boomstick.... who suggested that I repost my request in
this thread and get myself into the current PIF lineup. (Many
thanks to Boomstick and the others for all their help -- it's
appreciated).

And there we are -- how's that for a fun week-long PM runaround,
eh? Oh well, such is life, and we move on. But I'm glad that
I now seem to be in the proper thread for requesting the
HP set. (Er, at least I hope I am...)

As I posted in the "other" thread, I did have one request regarding
the HP's, which I hope doesn't sound too strange. Here goes:
I am looking to obtain an HP set in both DL and SL formats.

Here's why...

In all honesty, I was initially interested in obtaining only the DL set
for myself and for PIF'ing. Unfortunately, thanks to some nasty curves
life has thrown at me recently, I no longer have the ability to burn DL
discs -- at least until I can afford to rebuy a new external burner.
Because of this, I would not be able to PIF any DL sets for a least a
couple of months... and that simply didn't sit right with me. I don't
know about other people, but I take my PIF obligations seriously.

Therefore, I was looking for someone -- or a couple of people -- who could
provide with me either the DL or SL HP sets, separately or both together.

This way, I could enjoy watching my own DL HP set until I am able to get
my burner upgrade. And in the meantime, this arrangement would also allow
me to immediately begin fulfilling my PIF obligations by getting some SL
sets out to folks in the need. I do already have several people who've arranged
to obtain PIF sets thorugh me once I receive them, but I will gladly provide
some additional SL sets here on the forum as well.

Because of my "unusual" DL+SL request, I plan on PIF'ing more than the
usual 3 copies/sets most people seem to be willing to provide. I think that's
only fair...

Oh, and before I forget, if you do have a DL set you could forward to me,
please make sure you CAN provide it as a "ready-to-pop-in-and-watch"
version. A couple folks I spoke with earlier DID have DL sets, yet were
unable (or... um... unwilling) to provide them to me as an actual DL DVD
set -- instead, I would have been sent 5 CD-ROMs with RAR'd files.
Normally not an issue, but with my current situation, well... that's what
I'd call a major show stopper!

Well, that's that -- I've babbled on more than enough for one posting.
And speaking of posts, I know this is only my 3rd or 4th post here,
even though I've been reading the forum just about every day for the
past few months. As such, please feel free to check out my own "PIF"
seeding stats over at myspleen under "baronbrain" if you are curious.
(No .20 or .30 ratio for me... I'm around 1.2 now, but constantly seeding
and trying to reach my goal of a 2.0!)

Many MANY thanks in advance for anyone able to help me out with
this in any way -- it's VERY much appreciated! Please PM me if you
are able to help me spread the H.P. joy around a bit more. (Just as
FYI for mailing purposes, I'm in L.A.)

I'm not totally sure what versions are in the PiF although I would take a guess at the single layer versions. Ideally, I would like the dual layer versions, but this set seems so hard to come by that I'll be grateful for anything. Late last year, I asked another member here (who had the dual layer versions) if he could send me copies of the dual layer set, and to save me some money my end, I said I could send him the blank dual layer discs for him to burn the copies on to. He agreed to this on the condition that I send him an extra three blank dual layer discs. I don't think that was very cost effective for me, and someone was possibly taking liberties from the whole situation. I never got the chance to seal that deal as soon after, my net connection died for two weeks and then the Buncefield disaster blew my PC up

Now that I've restocked on blank DVD's, I thought I'd add my name to the list.
