Clicking on it to enlarge the picture, and after a lot of squinting to make out what it says on the sticker:

The title of the bonus disc: The Story of Star Wars.

Sticker: R2-D2 and C-3P0's chronicles of Luke and Anakin Skywalker
Almost __ minutes of additional content
. (can't decipher how many minutes)

Sounds cool. Definately a good bonus on the ep3 dvd. Makes buying it even more worthwhile. It's neat how walmart always has those exclusive things with all their products... just to get you to buy from their store instead of others. Their master, Lucas has taught them well. Sadly, I will fall for their marketing strategy and buy my copy from there. I added the info on it over at wikipedia's site for ROTS. See here. It looks to me as if it says "30 minute," by the way, so I added it there. Thrity minutes would make sense.

Must be 2.

So I see even Lucasfilm is being overruled by Wall-Mart's unethical strategies, eh?
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

this is the same story of star wars as the videonow disc you can find on ebay for some kind of system called pvd.
These are the feauturettes fox television showed the anakin one with the premiere of clones on fox 25, and the luke one on a reshowing of star wars special edition, and empire strikes back special edition not the 2004.

not on this bonus dvd, which is on the videonow disc is behind the scenes making of star wars footage, which I imagine is the making of star wars with C3PO and artoo detoo.

Just thought I'd post the disc art because I am so inclined. BTW, check my post number now:

could the cover art be any more uninspired and cut and paste from different posters.

Look at the cover art for the DVD boxset. Lucasfilm could of gotten anyone who posted in one of our "DVD Covers" threads to do a much much better looking cover. So I'm not suprised. They don't seem to try that hard on covers anymore.

Well the PT posters were blah, uniform, and uninspired, so it's appropriately mundane.

Unless a Wal-Mart employee with a color printer and some scissors was in charge of the job.

Yeah, we all fall victim to the Lucasfilm-WalMart Monopoly!

I wouldn't bother with preordering it, I'm sure Wal-Mart will have them in abundance.

Wal-Mart.com has just updated their page and specify the number of minutes. According to the site, the DVD will contain almost 60 new minutes of footage.

Is this actually something new somewhat new, or some sort of rehash/reedit of the old "Making of Star Wars" with some newer prequel stuff thrown in?

Crap, that's a good point. Lately they have been only puting the bonus discs in with the Fool Screen editions (at least here in Hicksville, USA). Guess I might have to do a pre-order. Just to be safe. If I end up getting a better price in store (which is usually the case with Wal Mart B&M's) I can always just get a price adjustment at the CS desk (though that entails dealing with WM employees, which might not be worth saving the extra couple of bucks ).

In any event, hope this pans out to be more than just a crappy pack in targeted at the SW fan who must have everything.

It must be just the opposite around here, there are usually more widescreen than full-screen on the shelves!

I presume widescreen is shelfwarming because people cannot stand "to watch half of the picture"

the top dvd sales almost always (if not always) have the widescreen versions selling more copies than the full screen version. some of the widescreen advocate pages show this data, and im sure its available elsewhere. usually its displayed as the movie and its rank in the weekly sales. so for instance it would show ROTS - Widescreen : 1 and ROTS - Fullscreen : 5 which would mean widescreen was the top seller and fullscreen was the 5th top seller.

remember, if they sell more widescreen movies they will order more for their stock, and the reverse is true for fullscreen. so if they order 1000 widescreen, and 50 fullscreen. then sell half of each, they still have a ton more widescreen than fullscreen (500 vs 25). so you cant make the shelfwarming statement without knowing the initial stock/order levels

Why Anakin really turned to the dark side:
"Anakin, You're father I am" - Yoda
"No. No. That's not true! That's impossible!" - Anakin

Anyone have any idea on the content? It sounds like the Star Wars Connections video LFL showed at C3.

I guess only missing a third is more acceptable to them?

Yeah, but it would have to contain ROTS footage, which the "Connections" footage didn't have.
