WOOKIE GROOMER PRESENTS: ADDICTED TO STAR WARS

Author
Time
Hello again. I'm back with another Star Wars project. This time, I created what can be called a "Star Wars Buffet". All 6 movies presented at the same time with 8 selectable audio soundtracks to choose from. The first 6 soundtracks are the movies I through VI, the 7th soundtrack is a music score only specially edited by me using mostly key sequences of each of the movies most memorable audio tracks. The 8th audio track is the entire 6 films in a cornucopia of sound or as I hear it, a train wreck. And best of all, Addicted to Star Wars is in High Definition with all soundtracks in 5.1 AC3. There is a standard definition DVD9 with a menu available that I have yet to post. I want to get a feel of the interest level on this first so please post your comments at http://abhdtv.net if you are a member. If I am the only one that thinks this is cool then I will keep it to myself.

I found that Nero Digital plays this perfectly and you can easily select the audio channels on the fly. PowerDVD plays it but defaults to the Phantom Menace track not allowing you to select other soundtracks. You may need other software if you don't have Nero Digital for playback such as MPC or Zoomplayer. This is a standard MPEG2 transport stream so use whatever you normally use. Later!

A sample of this is currently going up on alt.binaries.starwars. Go check it out.............

Now I have time for a marathon viewing!

Awesome! Now we can watch the entire saga in just 2.5 hours! Not that I like the prequels that much, but this is probably the only way they'll ever play on my tv again.

The plus side is you can watch the OT with sound and the PT without sound, which probably helps ease the ears against some of that dialog.
There's good in the Original Trilogy, and it's worth fighting for.

I think it is pretty cool. I totally love these movies (the OT at any rate), but is always fun to have a fresh look at them. Man, I'd be making projects like this if I could figure it out.

I've done similar stuff, but not with two completely different clips...

Did one that showed how accurate the animation of one scene in Betty Boop was, and did a couple others to check Pokemon episodes side-by-side, and one that compared the EditDroid Pre-ANH rollup to the 1981 rollup. Nothing big, really, and something that's done with a few StackHorizontals and StackVerticals...

I've wanted to do a corrected WookieeGroomer set with the actual 77 crawl instead of the 81 crawl like it is now. It shouldn't be that hard, I suppose..

My guess is that the HDTV broadcasts of the 2004 versions were used.

Nope, just monitoring things.

Who would that be? I used something entirely different and it will be obvious once you watch it from the beginning.

A few more days on the post, I'm building a low power consumption PC just for usenet use and I'm taking my good ole time. You should see the electric bill I got after a month of working on Addicted To Star Wars! Luckily I had two PC's to create it with otherwise this would still be in processing.

Wookie Groomer - It is so crazy to me that you are (rightfully so) one of the more revered project-makers here, and yet you only have posted 9 times, despite having been a member for two years. Thanks for all of your contributions - they have been invaluable to so many people.
