I'm kind of hesitant to drink again since I got more wasted than I have ever been at graduation two weeks ago, the feeling was not a good one the day after.

You know, when I was a teenager I thought I would never drink in my life. Alcohool, to me, tasted horrible, and I didn't like the effects of it. Time went by, I became more social, more friendly, and life began to suck harder and harder, things got worse all the time. I started to go out more, and pubs and night clubs, and while I would refuse to drink before, I started to get used to it. I began to apreciate it. Suddenly, I became very interested in drinking. Now I'm proud to say I love to drink, and I have become an alcohoolic!

Well it's not a pretty story, it's sad and pathetic, but I never said it would be a happy story.

I'm a social drinker. I don't much like the taste of alcohol, and I usually drink more than enough to cause pain the next morning, but I don't mind the buzz one bit.

Beer, however, is pure crap. At least all that I have tasted.

I know people say that it is an "aquired taste," but, seriously, it is always the same crappy taste. I'm sure cat turds are an aquired taste too, but I don't want to eat them every day and see if I get used to them.

"I can say 'rat droppings'. That does not mean I want to eat them."

I remember in college, we wanted to get drunk, but didn't have a lot of money, so we bought a 24-pack of Keystone Light.

That crap was soooooooo nasty, that we decided to dilute the beer a little by putting it into a blender with bananas and calling them "banana beer daquiris".

After about 7 or 8 of them, they didn't taste so bad anymore.

Eh, I've never really tried alcohol, and I don't really plan to. I hate not having full control over my mental faculties.

I am a beer enthusiast. there are certain beers i won't drink (basically anything you can see through or look like piss) and there are beers i love (almost anything microbrewed, sam adams does not count btw, and it has to be darkish.).

I don't drink like I used to when I was a youngster. Back in 94-97 I managed a liquor store in Denver with a wicked sweet beer selection (we had 100+ brands, mostly local brews) I've never drank that much in my life and I even learned to brew beer.

I used to drink between 12-30 beers over the course of the day... every day, I even drank at work (liquor store after all) which was about a 6 pack on average every day as my brother Pat and I always had two kegs on tap at home (converted two fridges) one of which was always Guinness Draught w/ 30psi nitrogen/CO2 tank and a homemade cold plate so yeah I really got into drinking!

MAN, living in LODO at the time ROCKED, I had a car but I never drove anywhere as the buses ran till well after last call and oh boy all the crazy drink specials in the bars in LODO ruled, we had a "Drinkin' With Lincoln" night which after you paid a $10 cover charge you got tap and well for a penny! (10oz dixies cups but shit a penny is a penny - and YES they would cut you off at the slightest slur!). So living downtown (13th and Corona) was a true blast as we were in staggering range of most bars, pubs and taverns* (*places to score on older ladies if your dirty like that ), I even got a few drunk in public tickets and once I even got to ride in the paddy wagon and a night stay in the drunk tank after a super fun piss drunk fist fight at a Toasters show!

I was able to drink my age in pints until I turned 30 but I no longer drink as much (only a few pints a week now) nor do I home brew full-time. But I'm thinking of buying some hops and malts and firing up the old 5 gallon boiler pot!

And yes, I've been drinking

Rik - Guiness on draft at home? - I bow down to you Sir

I like cider myself - used to get through a fair bit in my early 20's - was great knocking several pints back after the loads of football I was playing at the time.

Don't drink half as much now - but have branched out into the proper 'home-made' brand ciders - the type of still stuff with bits of apple and pear floating about in it - just the 1 pint is enough these days
