I am making a request on behalf of "Starkiller Ranch," a fan edit project encompassing the entire Star Wars saga. We are in need of a team member who is an expert of rotoscoping lightsabers. Assuming it is possible, our plan is to recolor and repair special effects of several lightsaber in the saga.
In the OT, particularly ANH, we are just looking to improve the effects so that the lightsabers are consistent throughout the movie, the trilogy, and thusly the entire saga.
In the PT, we have a much more complicated agenda. This involves re-coloring several lightsaber blades. We are not sure on the logistics of this, but if possible it would be a huge stylistic addition to the saga. To give you an idea of what we're looking to accomplish:
Mace Windu: Blue
Grievous: Red (and possibly purple as well)
Anakin: Red (possibly, for a portion of RotS)
Dooku: Purple (possibly)
We know this will be an extensive project, so we are looking for someone specifically for rotoscoping, no other responsibilities. We have all other areas covered. Of course whatever other creative input this person would have would be more than welcome. If there is anyone on the boards that would be interested in and capable of undertaking this extensive project, or if anyone knows of someone out there who might be interested and capable, please let us know.
