Tough choice, really. I know the Wii version will have unique features and better graphics, but at the same time, to buy a whole new system to play a game that was supposed to come out LAST fall for an existing one just seems ridiculous.

I'll probably get the GC version this year, then wait a few years till the Wii version is cheaper and get that.

Am I to understand from this that there will be a GameCube and a wii version of Twilight Princess? If this is that case it seems really odd. When I first saw the video of Twilight Princess I couldn't believe how cool it looked. It kind of brought back the excitment I had during those years leading up to Ocarina of Time. I nearly thought to buy a GameCube just for this game (the positive reviews for the two Rogue Squadron games were also factored in) but I am happy I didn't because I heard it wouldn't come out for the GC. Wow, that is wierd isn't it? A Nintendo system lacking in a quarter of the way decent Mario or Zelda game. Hmm, and the name 'GameCube' it always makes me want to grab my zip board and dart under it.

Been playing a lot of Dead Rising on the 360 and Dawn of Sorrows on my DS-Lite.

Picked up Kameo for the 360 today ($30!) and was pleasantly surprised. It was one of those launch titles that I was sitting on the fence about, and seeing as how Rare bungled PDZ I wasn't too enthusiastic about Kameo - but it's a rush.

I'd say it's like a cross between Banjo-Kazooie and Zelda 64. Sweet graphics too.

What about "Mario Sunshine" "Paper Mario 2" and "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker"??

I thought GameCube was quite a splendid name, and probably the best name of that generation. X-Box, though I have one, was probably the most retarded - I always thought that this would be the codename only during its development.

And don't get me started on the Pony Haystation...
MTFBWY. Always.

You know, I'd never really had a problem with console names. Playstation, X-Box, Gamecube, who cares what they call them? It's what the games look and play like that matters.

Wii does bother me slightly because though I pesonally don't care what it's called, it could potentially give the thing a negative stigma in the market place. Plus it's easy to make urine jokes about it.

And if you tell your mom your playing with your Wii she might say you will go blind.

I refuse to buy the Wii.

The controller looks lame.

The hardware is lame.

Won't look all that great on my HDTV.

So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Ignore the troll people.

Let's get back to talking about how much fun we will be having with Smash Bros Brawl, Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime Three, Red Steel, Super Mario Galaxy, and Project HAMMER over the next two years.

Thats pretty funny, Zion. Don't worry though, you are not the only one who will be doing this. I can't wait for this system! I think out of all the new systems this one has the most to offer for everybody. It is not overly complicated as the 360, and nowhere near as expensive as the PS3.

By your powers combined, I have revived this thread.

Let's talk about Advance Wars now. Anybody played the AW games on the GBA and DS? Awesome stuff.

I have played the DS one. Quite fun indeed.

I am very disapointed by the sales of Star Fox DS on Japan, the game hasn't sold very well... Perhaps the new gameplay mode and the somewhat obscurity of the StarFox name between the youngest generation are to blame. Let's see how it goes at the western market.

By the way, all of the top 10 game sellers in Japan were NDS games. The Final Fantasy 3 (not released in america) remix for the DS is the #1.

I think if Nintendo would quit trying to reinvent the franchise and just give us essentially Star Fox 64 with new levels and better graphics, the series could be great.

But no, they keep trying to innovate, first with the Zelda-esque StarFox Advetures, then with Star Fox Assault, which had ATROCIOUS controls outside the Arwing.

And now on the DS, they take what oculd have been a great idea and dumb it down by making it way too easy and repetitive. It makes no sense to me at all. (It also makes no sense why they didn't use voice over for Starfox DS, considering that the DS cards have four times the capacity of the average N64 cartridge.)

Hmnn no not really Chaltab, the max amount of space on a DS game is about twice as much as a N64. If you have a lot of gameplay and textures, I belive there wouldn't be much room for voice. Although some DS games feature full, complex dialogues, like Puyo Pop Fever.

Haven't played video games in ages. Kind of lost interest after N64 came out. Lacked the charm of the old Super Nintendo games. I miss playing the old Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario World, along with the SNES video game adaptation of Batman Returns.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.
