It is. I'm not terribly fond of it. It's not a bad game, but it essentially IS a watered down version. It's GTA3 running on the Vice City engine with simplistic missions and a barely-there police force.

My brother already has a copy; he wants me to buy it so we can play multiplayer.

Pretty much all announcements on the Revolution including system, name, specs, etc. will be made at E3. So, whenever that is, presumably we'll also find out about the launch date.

I think the Revolution is going to be a winner for me, too. To be honest, the 360 and PS3 don't interest me at all at this stage - they're pretty much the previous systems with hardware face-lifts. The Revolution actually looks like it's going to provide a new gaming experience...

Adam, nobody wants to hear about your kind of porn.

Back on topic, anybody here want to comment on the handheld console war? It seems the PSP is faltering big time. Most of it's games are just watered down versions of console hits with weaker graphics and controls. The DS offers something unique--Age of Empires, Advance Wars Dual STrike, the Feel the Magic games.

And of course there's Mario Kart DS, which is like the ULTIMATE Mario Kart game, and is portable to boot.

The reason i'm recomending it isnt for the dirty stuff the story is beutiful. Just it was in the wrong category so hardly anyone plays it outside of japan.

As far as I'm concerned, that should always have been the case. It seems that it's taken a handheld to realise that Nintendo are inventive and Sony are not (and this is coming from a Sega fan).

The only thing I like about PS3 is MGS4.

Well, since I hated MGSTS, that doesn't interest me. So there is pretty much nothing on PS3 that has piqued my interest.

On the other hand, First Person shooters on the Revolution are going to rock so much.

I don't care; if it has DC characters in it and it's a video game, and it doesn't suck... How can I resist?

That only met one of the requirements! It was an excersize in pain, not a video game, and it sucked. It totally and completely sucked.

okay this is super old school. but did anyone play "smash tv" for super nintendo? it was soo ghetto, the graphics, the sounds, the game. yet for some reason my youngest bro and i were totally addicted to it. like soo hard core that we'd schedule times to get together and play it (and exclude my other bro cuz he sucked and wasn't good even when he was part of the team).

OMG PJ, I used to have "smash tv" for the super nintendo too. Isn't the game where you get tv sets and money in game show fighting all these dudes and you have guns and stuff. it was a hard game.

another game me and my sisters were addicted too was of course mario 3 and super mario world

Yeah. It's too bad games like those are no longer economically viable on consoles.

wow i'm thinking about smash tv now and i think i'm gonna play it tomorrow! haha my bro and i once beat the game. we were the best team ever, and we had this system as to who would die on what levels so we could use up the credits in a useful way. it was very calculated.

I've never even seen the movie and the Tron level has me exited.

Though GameInformer said that their favorite level was the Steamboat Willie one.

The Black Pearl looks like it might be fun in that game. 'Course, I never played the original, but my sisters are WAY into it.
