No, Ric, it's a real game. My brother loves it; you manage your movie studio and can make your own movies.

Hm. Thinking with all the GOTY awards going out lately, what do you all think are the best game/games of the year?

My top three:

Resident Evil 4
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow
Mario Kart DS.

Granted, I've not yet played Colossus or God of War but those are my favorites as of now.

I just played "Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth", and damn, what a game. I haven't finished it yet, but it could be a GOTY contender. Plus it's creepy as hell.

So, Sessler, you played Resident Evil 4 yet?


Me? I've had it played and beat since the first week it came out.

Luckily I just picked up King Kong and Call of Duty 2 to even out the gameplay a bit on the 360.

I've heard King Kong on the 360 looks amazing. Kameo: Elements of Power also looks great. I've heard mixed thoughts on how well it plays, but I doubt it can be that bad.

It does, especially on our new HDTV.

I tried it on a regular TV and I don't think I can ever go back.

I want to play that game Condemned. There doesn't seem to be really, well, anything coming out until march that I'm interested in, so I guess I'm gonna give that one a shot. Anyone played it?

I've always wondered why HD-TV's were so great. Wouldn't the extra detail show of things like polygon seems or bad textures that otherwise would have looked alright?

It does when you put regular XBox games into the 360, but as of yet I haven't seen any textures look bad on the 360 games, except for a few low-detailed roads in Project Gotham, but I hate that game anyway.

And considering we have a relatively middling HDTV, I'd really like to see how it looks on a higher-end one.

I was playing resi 4 this christmas. i thought it was brilliant. Best game of 2005. that and Gran Turismo 4.

Yeah. The only game that MIGHT have given RE4 competetion was Twilight Princess, and it was delayed until next year.

Which will be this year in about two hours my time.

Who told you that? Every source I've seen loved the console versions of it. The DS version sucks royally cause it was thrown together for a quick buck, but the worst I've heard about the console versions is that they are two short.

I've only played the demo, but while it didn't seem like necessarily a bad game, it did seem a tad bland.

I'm going to pick up a new game this weekend. Should I go for Call of Duty 2, or Condemned?

My vote for best game of 2005 has to go to Lego Star Wars: The Video Game. Great fun, and the cut scenes are hilarious.

I recently purchase Super Mario Strikers. Fun game. Brings back memories of playing soccer. My brother broke our PS2. Now I can't play console stuff that much. Can't wait for Twilight Princess! And I'm not even going to touch a 360. bad system BAD!!!!!

And why wont you be touching an XBox 360? I didn't really want one at launch, no games to interest me. But now that I've seen Elder Scrolls 4, I want one bad!
