I bet I could give you a run for your title no matter what character you chose.

What the crap does pwns mean? I see gamers use it everywhere.

When really giddy or really young typers accidently misspell the word "owns" used in the context of:

Mario owns Jigglypuff in the first SSB.

By typing a P where the O should be by accident. It is used as a jab at bad typers and to emphasize or exaggerated the amount of action ownage taking place.

Did anyone watch the Xbox 360 show on mtv? I watched it, but it was pretty hard to stomach. It was like TRL with a few seconds of screen shots. Some of the games looked awesome, others were sort of eh.

Honestly I thought most of what they showed looked like it could have been run on current gen systems.

The only think in Perfect Dark Zero that looked like it would give Xbox trouble was the size of the arenas. Otherwise, there wasn't much detail or texturing on the suroundings and the framerates looked awful.

Still, it will probably improve by release, and that JetPak sure looks fun.

Unfortunately, I didn't see the console itself.

I totally agree, Chaltab. Perfect Dark didn't impress me at all. To me, it didn't look any better than Halo 2 save for a few textures. A lot of the other games looked sweet, but they seemed to all be cutscenes so it's hard to tell. What really got me is while watching it, my tv screen got all black, and then the Halo theme song started playing. I seriously got goosebumps but then it just turned out to be an ad for a Samsung tv.

I've seen a video presentation of the xbox 360 - I don't think it was the MTV one - and I must say I was NOT impressed. We must wait for the PS3 and the Nintendo Revolution...

Yes!!! THE REVOLUTION WILL BE TELLEVISED!!!

Hopefully.

What strikes me as odd is did Nintendo not make a deal with MTV to publicize the Gamcecube? Maybe this is a bad omen for microsof.

Microsoft had a terrible timing with xbox360. Smells like "Sega Saturn" all over again.

More like Sega Dreamcast.

Dreamcast proved that being first out of the gate does not guarantee success. The only think that guarantee's success in the game industry is violence and hookers, unfortunately.

And liscensed games. I overheard some kids about 12-14 talking at walmart today. One of them said, "Do you have DBZ Say-guhs?" The other kid said "No." and the first kid said "It's pretty cool."

I just shook my head. And ten feet away there was a kid much younger 6-8 playing Soul Caliber 2 on the GC kiosk. He was the smart one, see. I really feel sorry for the generation that will be heading into highschool next year or two.

Which brings me to my theory: kids today are stupid ignorant spoiled little brats who won't be able to live by themselves in real life.

As nostalgic as I am about my youth, I'm glad I'm not a kid these days.

I've often worried that the same is true of myself.

Perhaps I should go drown my sorrows in FFTA.

Off Topic: I bought the Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guid to the Galaxy to day. I also found out that Douglas Adams was an athiests. What is it with the british and atheism. *rolls eyes*

On Topic: I also bought Fire Emblem today. So far it seems fun, but the tutorials are getting on my nerves. I never got past them because my DS batteries went dead.

I'm not particularly impressed by either device in the looks department. And from what little I saw of the MTV demo of Xbox 360, It looked only slightly more impressive than the original Xbox.

I'm waiting to see the Revolution before I make my final decisions though. I have high hopes for Nintendo this time around.

Me want GameBoy Micro!!!!! ...

And, is it just me or does it look like the writing on the side of the PS3 was stolen right from the Spider-Man 2 Font Department?

I actually like the look of the Revolution. It doesn't look like a PC (like the 360) and it isn't all curvy and "modern" like the PS3.

And the new Zelda game has finally been named: The Twilight Princess.

Ugh. Personally I don't have a problem with the name... but NO BODY is going to buy it unless they allready know Zelda rocks. Why did Nintendo have to put the word Princess in the name!?? You think Joe Schmo is going to buy it with such a name?
