The other day I wondered into a tiny local thrift store and sitting on a coffee table

Are you quite certain that the store owner might have approved of such behavior? So lost in wonder were you that you sat on their table...?

Are you quite certain this language joke holds up?  I'm not sold.  "wondered into a tiny store and sitting" doesn't imply that he was the one sitting on the table.  The tenses are off.  THE TENSES ARE OFF MAN.

Ah, but could not a mere comma set effect an appropriate remedy?

I wondered, and sitting, I saw?

Good to see you thinking it through though...hope not much happened while I was away...! ;-)

I was once…but now I’m not… Further: zyzzogeton

It would have, unfortunately the comma wasn't there, so it doesn't count!

I think my copy of the Sims 3 may be glitching.  I have a family on on the game and there is a father and daughter in the family that the game labels as such but for some reason the teenager daughter all of the sudden keeps making a wish to go on a date with her father, so you have the whole underage thing being combined with incest in a teen rated game.

Yeah I am pretty sure this is a glitch.

Oh and am I the only one who thinks the rating system for games is broken.  I mean in Mass Effect all you really see are a couple of kisses and the game doesn't allow you to cheat on the person Shepard is in a relationship with and it gets an M rating.

In The Sims your Sims can cheat with every person in town and sex is a huge part of the game and it gets a Teen rating, something is not right with this.

Maybe it's because sleeping around and cheating is the juvenile behavior of teenagers and teenagers-at-heart and being faithful is what mature people do?

We can give them the benefit of the doubt on this one no? yes?

I just finished "Super Mario Bros. 3mix" based on Danfun's recommendation.  I liked it, it was quite fantastic.  Now I just wish somebody could port it to SNES (I LOVE the snes version of SMB3.  It misses the mark on 1, 2 I could care less about, but 3 is a masterpiece.)  I think it could be doable, using Super Mario World as a base (widely and extensively hacked if you weren't aware) and the graphics of SMB3 from all stars (I used to have a hack that was just a graphics hack that did that very thing... wish I remember what it was called) and used Lunar to make the levels.  The difficult areas would probably be the physics hacks (gravity), the new enemies, and the new music.  Not sure if SMW can be hacked extensively enough to allow these.

Define "completed". Do you mean "I beat Bowser in World 8!" or "I beat the True Final Boss of World 0 and collected all the star coins!"

Porting SMB3mix to SMW is an oxymoron. It would be more like a remake to the ladder's engine. SMW has been broken up into little pieces dozens of times to the point that such a remake could be done quickly if you knew asm and Lunar Magic (that's what it's called btw), but it wouldn't be the same experience. If somebody were to crack open the Super Mario All Stars SMB3 and port SMB3Mix to there, THAT would be impressive. "Porting" SMB3Mix to SMW...not so much.

I think you completely miss the point.  I could live with it being SMW's engine, because other than the method of flying the two engines are quite similar in feel.  I just think it would be fun to play it with higher quality graphics and sound, and not have the game slow down every time there's too many enemies on the screen.

I beat bowser in world 8, that's all I'm interested in doing.  I hardly ever play games to 100%, in fact the only game I ever have is Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy.  Don't get me wrong, I loved super mario bros 3mix, but I didn't love it *that* much.  Just blame it on my attention span, I'm ready to move on to something else.

This guy has a popular daycare when he hates kids, yells at them, and smashes their stuff.

I love the Sims.

Oh and if anyone is wondering here is the outcome of letting this guy run a daycare.  The really messed up part is that some of the parents brought their kids back the next day.

I'm playing Starfox Adventures for gamecube.  I know it's not the most popular game but I love it.  It is sortof like a zelda game rather than a starfox game, but not being zelda freed the story up.  Of course it has flaws.  Some of the voice acting of side characters is annoying, but the main characters are good enough to not ruin the game for me.  The graphics and atmosphere are BEAUTIFUL.  The music is amazing as well, the music, story, and graphics really pull me in and give the game almost a spiritual atmosphere.  Some parts are unnecessarily frustrating and ill-designed, but overall I love the game anyway.

I wish we could have seen what dinosaur planet would have been like.  Although I'm glad this game ended up being for gamecube instead of N64.

I always played the Sims 1, but couldn't really get into the ones after that. Then again, I think that's because I still don't have a computer good enough to play any of the ones after the Sims 2.

Even if you have a computer good enough chances are The Sims 3 will still crash since EA out and out lied about the system specs on the back of the box and there are huge problems like memory leaks.  The only reason it has run so well for me is that I use patches made by a fan group called NRAAs, fans had to fix the game.

Still it is the last EA game I can find that doesn't require an internet connection so I was able to get it use at a thrift store.  There are not many games I can say that about these days and I am enjoying play it as Dr.Forester and TV's Frank! right now.

Oh and by the way, Dr. Clayton Forester keeps showing up just to steal candy from the babies.

I played the Sims 1 with my sister all the time, and then I played the Sims 2 quite a bit. Once I got to the Sims 3 though I had this problem with the game crashing on my computer, so I installed it on my old computer on a whim and it actually worked fine somehow. I doubt I'll ever get the Sims 4 though since my computer is outdated and I just haven't been sold on the game yet

I have had some moments to return to playing Strategy First's Naval Warfare. The voice acting is some of the best I've heard...a fun bit if one enjoys driving a variety of ships and shooting endless volleys of cannon-fire...and such...

Oh I discovered this about the all in one bathroom from the future in The Sims 3.  If you don't know what it is about this picture that is awesome, then shame on you!
