I don't know if you still have yours but if you got the classic blinking power light error the 72-pin connectors in the console sell for about 10 bucks a piece online and they're surprisingly easy to replace.
This is true but the rest of my post explains why it's irrelevant in my case. Emulators just look much better on my TV due to the upscaling/filtering they do. Plus playing them on a ps3 controller feels pretty close to a SNES controller.
