Hmm, if the Protector Trials are on sale I'll definitely grab them (unfortunately, my copy of BS2 is not currently in my possession). Not only did I stick with my preferred weapon/plasmid combo throughout the game, but once I got the Drill Specialist tonic I switch to exclusive use of the drill and never went back (strangely addicting, that drill). So the P. Trials sound like they'd be an interesting challenge, especially if they only cost a few bucks.

All BS2 DLC is half off for a couple days starting today.  All DLC except for a Multiplayer Character pack for some reason.

I'm mildly tempted to get the Rapture Metro map pack, but I just read that since there's no DLC specific playlist, the game will only use the DLC maps if the entire party (more or less randomly selected) has the maps- which is practically impossible.

Rumor was they were going to create said playlist... but at this point in time, it is doubtful.  They should just make the DLC (which is almost a year old, at this point) a mandatory (read: Free) update for playing online so that the people that paid for it can finally enjoy it.  Assuming they can enjoy it knowing that they should have never paid for it since they weren't able to enjoy it until it went free.

Y'know?

But Protector trials- 6 small maps, each with 3 variations on weapons/plasmids.  The scenario: pick up the little sister, set your traps, hack your machines, and when you're ready- start the Adam harvest and fend off the waves of splicers.  If the splicers kill you, game over.  If they attack your little sister, it slows down the harvest- giving you a poorer score.  Each splicer you kill gives you money to buy more ammo, eve, health at the vending machines.  Each round lasts about 5 minutes or so...  The reward for completing them is a few looks at some Behind the Scenes material- abandoned story boards, concept art, etc...

For 200 points, I say you can't go wrong.

And- HOW DARE YOU LOAN OUT YOUR COPY OF BS2!?!?  DON'T DO THAT EVER AGAIN!

P.S. Some other 2K content on sale, like Borderlands DLC for 50%.  Also, looks like it's time for me to buy some more Burnout Paradise DLC since it all just got a (temporary?) price drop.

I think I've said it before but I will say it again. I am LOVING Castlevania: Harmony of Despair!! Just got the DLC for Orgins level and Simon Belmont character. It's like playing a fast paced Castlevania for NES. Even Simon is in 8-Bit!

8-Bit goodness on a 360. I guess I'm gonna have to buy Megaman 9 & 10 next on here since they are in that great 8-bitness, but I'm waiting for when they are on sale.

I just found and loved Symphony of the Night for the first time, so I was really excited about C:HD.  But the fast paced part turned me off.  It was the slow pace of SotN that I loved.

Now I'm racing home to work on Minerva's Den.

Also, since I said I should mention it here... Deadly Premonition is the weirdest game I've ever played.  It's at once terrible, and strangely compelling.

Nice, I've seen Live reproductions of GoldenEye before, but not that one.  It certainly was faithful!

I finished Minerva's Den.  I really, really enjoyed it... but now I'm mad that it's over.  Before I finished it, I knew there was always more BioShock to play... what am I supposed to do now?

I've been playing Deathspank like mad for the past 24 hours. Think Diablo gameplay meets Monkey Island sense of humour and that's pretty much the gyst of it. I have repeatedly cracked a smile throughout. Thank god for the EA sale, otherwise I would have missed it.

I've been telling everyone about this game because it is out on multiple platforms, XBLA, PSN, Windows, and Mac. Again, great addictive game.

I hate that I always lose things.
Especially if they happen to be games that I'm craving, like Jedi Academy.

I had a dream about beating Rosh in the game. I guess I subconsciously really, really hate him.

I bought The Protector Trials for BS2 yesterday, figured I should grab them while they are on sale even though I won't be able to play them until I get my game back from my friend. Thanks for the heads up Xhonzi.

lol.  He sure is an annoying little sphincterboy, isn't he?

I remember whenever one of us got to the part where Tavion pwns Kyle and Jaden in the cutscene at the end of the second act, the dialogue would go like this:

Tavion: Rosh!  Come.

Rosh: Yes, Tavion.

my roommate: *disgusting orgasm sound*

Cracked me up every time.  ;)

You're welcome.  I just learned from Malcolm Gladwell that I am a "market maven" and it's my sworn duty in life to fight crime let people know when things are on sale.  I just wish 005 was a market maven too, then maybe I'd have a free laptop.  ;(

Have you started Assassin's Creed II, yet?

Assassin's Creed II is a fantastic game, I just beat Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, which is also very good, now I am on to Two Worlds II.

With only 60000 being made, you think I was about to publicize that I signed up for one? ;-)

Ew... is that going to be a hard transition?  I haven't heard much about Two Worlds II, but I never heard anything good about Two Worlds I.

I'm going to start AC Brotherhood here very soon.  I'm very much looking forward to it.

You know, I've come this close to playing System Shock (1 & 2).  I was setting up an 'xpadder' profile so that I could pay SS1 on my 360 gamepad.  So shoot me, I didn't want to play with my laptop's touch pad and I didn't want to drag out a mouse.  But there was one fatal flaw in xpadder which kept me from getting away with it.  I complained to the xpadder people and they said "Good idea!" and said they'd work on it.  That was more than a yea ago...

Maybe I should just get out a mouse and play them.  I can't really believe they've passed me by for so long given my love of BioShock and Deus Ex.  Hmmm... maybe I should just play Deus Ex again...
