Monocle is free. Eye patch cost me something like 20 msp.

So, I'm calling it right now:
Friday night, at 8:30E,7:30C,6:30M. L4D2. Unless you all wanted to do the 4 Player Legendary Ghost achievement for Halo 3, which we should do sometime.

so what time is that in UK time?
You can never go home again, but i guess you can shop there.
1:30 am, if the Googles are correct.
I think we'll be up for tonight. H3 Ghosts might be hard, but my wife and I might remember the correct path... I'd rather play L4D2.

Tonight at 8:30E, eh? I think I can pull that off. L4D2 sounds great to me, and we've (at least I've) yet to play it with Jonzi. Though I would also like to knock out that Halo achievement sometime (whether we can do it or not, trying it just sounds like fun), but then I'd be revealing just how bad I am at that game...

L4D2 it is! Unless C3PX is too popular to hang out with the likes of us.

The new Halo Reach Campaign Trailer is out on XBLA and it made me a little more excited for the game. I wasn't looking forward to it much before the trailer... I'm not sure I'll get it on day 1 like I've done the other Halos... but maybe they'll convince me in the next month or two.
Full price games bought on day 1 for me this generation:
Halo 3
Halo ODST (ended up being $30 on Amazon after all of the discounts and credits, or else I would have waited
Rock Band 1 Full Band Kit
Rock Band 2 Disc Only (Shipped with $20 in MS Points)
Beatles RB (Was $40 at Micro Center for the first week)
And I think that's it. So, it'll be interesting if I drop on RB3 or Halo Reach, since those seem to be the only games I've gone for in the past. The Halos because they don't tend to depreciate very fast, and the RB because I thought they were a good value. Seeing how fast the prices drop on music games, however, I might wait for RB3.

Actually thought id sold Halo 3:ODST on amazon, but it didnt sell so i kept it - ive completed single player on easy - but before you butt in - no, probably hardly any of the achievements! I have never played/owned the original Halo 3.
It was multiplayer that put me off - as a new player trying to learn it - i sucked and it became very frustrating! but like fallout 3 decided to stick with it tho its not a priority at the moment - but am deffinately looking forward to Halo Reach.
Actually NEIR has surprised me not very far into it yet but enjoy it more than Final Fantasy XIII !
Frontlines: Fuel of war seems pretty good too, graphics arent as good as Modern Warfare 2 but I think its more fun :)
accidentally saw a trailer for Deus Ex 3 and that looks pretty exciting too!
You can never go home again, but i guess you can shop there.

I wouldn't butt in about achievements. Though I may sound like it sometimes, I am not really into achievements that much, and don't think you should make it a point to get them unless you just enjoy it. Sometimes they add a lot of fun to a game by giving you that extra challenge to work toward, sometimes really ridiculous challenges that end up being a lot of fun (like The Orange Box's Little Rocket Man achievement).

You know it is going to be the same ol' thing, right? If you didn't care for Halo 3 or ODST, don't expect a lot from Reach. I like Halo, but personally, I am pretty Haloed out these days, and really have no interest in Reach at all. Four games in a series, and really never having given much variation from installment to installment, I just have a hard time staying excited about Halo. Loved ODST, because it was really different. Reach is looking like it is back to the same old thing, only with multiple Spartans rather than just Masterchief.

So I managed to find an NES, with all the cords, 2 controllers, and a copy of Super Mario Bros. 3 stowing away inside of it all for $20 last week. I had some problems with the blinking power light, so I replaced the 72 pin connector and it works like new now. First goal: beat Bionic Commando. Also Dr. Mario, Zelda 1 and 2 and Balloon Fight are in the mail.
It's gonna be a good week.

My main reason for keeping ODST is because most people seem to think Halo 3 is one of the top 10 titles every xbox owner should have! and i dont understand why! i've heard ODST is a bit different and you thought it was good, and Halo 3 was mentioned a few comments back and i thought well maybe i should hang on to it and give it a decent try out before i make up my mind on it. Anyway i think i should try playing the games i already have before buying anymore lol!

Awesome. I've had my NES for nearly 21 years, and it still works pretty well, but I have been considering replacing the pin connectors for the better part of a decade now. It still works, but it has been finnicky for quite some time.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.
NICE! Good find Nanner.
I have the relatively rare toploader NES, but it's been giving me trouble recently. The cartridges settle in in such a way that they are loose, and don't register unless I press them forward - which is not only inefficient but not feasible. I hope I make sense here. It reads them the way it is sometimes, but 20-someodd minutes later it'll freeze out.
