Man, Tiptup and GhostAlpha are really making this thread suck.

Now, back to the videogames.

Is anyone else finding it excruciatingly difficult to get hold of a bloody (or non-bloody) Wii Nunchuk?! I had to bloody PRE-ORDER one last week 'cause there have been NONE since launch.

Just wanted to figure out if it was just Australia getting ass-raped or not.

Funny. I bought one today, quite easily. The only things hard to find around here are the WiiMotes, and, of course, the Wiis themselves.

I've NEVER seen Wiimotes and Nunchuks on store shelves.

Last weekend when I camped out for a Wii (didn't want to miss out again) Toys R Us got in a case of Wiimotes and Nunchuks, and they said it was the first they'd gotten in about a month.

I suspected that the lack of product could be do to re-packaging with the updated wriststrap, but both the packed-in Wiimote and the one I bought had the original style strap.

Best bet? Buy Wii Play - I saw at least 25 copies yesterday on the shelf.

Yeah, sean, that was a bit over the line.

But, back on topic: I just beat The Legend of Zelda! Not that it was the first time, but, for those of you who have been keeping up, it's been giving me some grief lately. So who here has tackled the second quest? I tried it once several years ago, after the first time I beat the game, but I had my ass quickly handed to me and have little desire to try again. The game is hard enough to begin with.

I'm on the fence on this one. I had 400 points left to burn, and it was between Kid Icarus and SMB.

Nintendo managed to emulate SMB perfectly, but lost some of the cheat codes for Icarus. Because I am a purist (well, not really or I would just dust off the NES but that's a pain) I went with SMB.

I will likely purchase Icarus soon, if not just to hear the theme music again...God I hope they re-mix it for the Icarus levels in SSBM, whenever the hell that comes out!

Let me know what you think if you get it. This week it looks like Donkey Kong Country and Excite Bike are hitting the VC. Cool.

Well, in Australia, we have Wii-motes a-plenty (though nearly all packaged with WiiPlay since launch - which makes me wonder, why are there so many reviews of this game three months after launch as if this game is new?), but the Nunchuks are nowhere to be seen. The last shipment were sold out entirely to people who ordered them.

Over here Wiimotes and nunchuks can be found easily, as well as the classic controllers, but not bundled with WiiPlay. Wii consoles are hard to find, but some places got them. Every store have a PS3, though, but I don't think they are selling any.

By the way, I heard that the Wii had this new channel on the latest update, but I haven't got any new channel after I did the update. Anyone knows about this?

Yes, there is a new Voting Channel, which is surprisingly cool - not just for now, but for the potential it could have later on (ie: What VC game should we release next week, majority rules).

You need to enable it in the Wii settings though, for it to appear. I'm not sure why it didn't just pop up, I was puzzled at first too.

I had to download it from the Wii Shop Channel... Strange. Heh, I sent a question suggestion "Should the SNES game 'Earthbound' be released on the Virtual Console System?" with the answers being "YES!" and "Maybe."

Sweet! I'm so voting YES if your question ever gets posted.

It never made sense to me that Nintendo would include Nes as a playable character in SSB and then not give Earthbound it's lonmg overdue day.

I wonder if they will release the first Mother game (often referred to as Earthbound Zero) for the NES to the Wii Shop. That would be really cool since the game was translated into English and made ready to release though it never was. That would be fantastic if Nintendo would get in the habit of releasing unreleased games for this thing. How great would it be to see StarFox 2 for the SNES... not likely I know, but with the Wii channel the possibility is there.

If Nintendo is in this for the long haul, which they are, given the 4 year or so life span of a console, they will inevitably have to start releasing some hard-to-find or unreleased classics at the current release rate of the VC.
