Well, to some degree.

They have announced an 11-city tour this summer although they haven't announced who will be taking vox. Likelihood is that it's Sammy Hagar since he made amends with the brothers over Christmas and has always been pals with Michael Anthony who even plays bass on occasion with the Waboritas (Sammy's solo band). Dunno if this means a new album is planned, but I know that Eddie has written upwards of a 100 songs in his offtime.

He left shortly after their tour in 98. The band's been on hiatus since that time and were even dumped by WB. They have no recording contract at all right now.

Thank you. I left it out to test you all (okay, honestly I couldn't remember who it was because I've only heard his use a couple of times and the other two God only knows how often). Funny how that line has survived the ages.

Didn't Roth record a single w/VH for the Greatest Hits album, but then there was bad blood once again?

I remember 4 or 5 years ago Roth made a special appearance with Van Halen on the MTV music awards and announced they were going to record together again. I remember Roth looked terrible and wore a cheap cap to hide his baldness. Then I remember months later seeing their new music video with a completely different guy doing lead vocals and Roth trying to hog the camera as usual. That was the last time I saw them.

Yeah, he did. Actually, there were two singles. They were called "Can't Get This Stuff No More" and "Me Wise Magic". Decent songs, but not the best stuff VH has ever put out. I agree that Roth is a disgrace. The best, and most original, stuff that VH put out was with Hagar.

never was too keen on VH, must admit... quite catchy tunes from time to time, but not something i was willing to invest my time in.
