I'm not sure what to make of this. The sixth season of The Simpsons has been announced and will be released on August 16. That is not the problem. My problem is with the packaging for this new set. Check this thing out...

While, in and of itself, it's a cool package design. It is completely impractical and does not fit in AT ALL with the first five seasons. What the hell were they thinking?

Man, that sucks. These things are gonna look nasty on the shelf. That and they don't fit in with the first five. Any word on them speeding up the release timetable? By the time they get to season ten, DVD will be dead.

I believe that it is just a sort of "cover" for the actual DVD box, not the box itself. It should be removable.
(in regards to the simsons season 6 dvd)

Actually, it's supposed to be the box itself. The head is perfectly shaped in terms of being DVD-rounded along the top. And the side of it, if you look at it carefully, appears to be hinged.

Any news on a rerelease of The Rocketeer? That transfer on the last one was horrendous.

That's been pretty close to the truth, but they need to speed it up. There are 16 seasons of this show and, at the rate they are going, they won't have them all out until 2015. DVD will be dead by then and they'll need to start over.
