Does anyone happen to have any episodes of Tru Calling in HD? I have the DVDs for both seasons, but the transfer looks pretty poor, and I’d like to see if I can get them in a higher quality. If not, I’ll try upscaling the DVDs, but I’m not optimistic about the results.
I also know that the music was altered for the season 2 DVDs, but I have some old 624x352 HDTV rips that I can use to restore the music.

I had no idea they changed the music for season 02 😢, just another one to the long list.
I forgot about this show. It’s not streaming anywhere according to Justwatch but I’ll keep an eye out.
Hmmm… I know I had an HD tuner before the 2004 Olympics so I could perhaps have recorded some of it in HD. But it was also on FOX and I think FOX switched really late to OTA HD. I think they stuck with this weird widescreen SD format or something strange the first few years? So not sure it would really even be HD.
Seems like this one may not be available in HD… I’ve gone ahead and upscaled the DVDs to 1080p, making it look as good as I can get it. (There appears to be noticeable edge enhancement on the DVDs, which is annoying, but I did my best to work around it.) I’ve also restored the original music to the episodes that were altered.
Still, if anyone sees this later on and had an actual HD version of this series, please let me know.
