That photo of Bumblebee pissed me off. Bumblebee should be a VW Beetle, and considering the fact that we have a new model beetle currently on the market, there's no reason why he isn't. Instead he's a ford mustang.

Now, unless VW refused the filmakers the rights to use their vehicle in the movie, which, seeing as this is a dream product placement movie for any car manufacturer I find hard to believe, there's no reason why bumblebee shouldn't look like this:

Its the new Camaro, and the only reason he was changed to that was for product placement opportunity.

LOL True.

The thing is, a lot of transformers I bet you couldn't tell me the specific vehicle they transformed into. I mean, we all know Optimus is a Semi, StarScream is a fighter jet, etc, but what specific Semi? What specific fighter jet? But everybody knows that bumblebee is a VW beetle. Couldn't they have done their product placement with another character?

thats ok if they havea mustang, its not like its a horrible car to have, at least there still using the yellow imagine if they used red which is usually the best mustang colour. i am guessing that ford paided them shit loads of money to use the mustang, and VW didnt offer anything.

The red VW was Cliff Jumper. He also had a bit more attitude than Bumblebee.

As if the blantant use of product placement wasn't already obvious they've written in a plot where Bumblebee starts out as a 70s model Camaro, gets damaged, and magically remade into the new 2007 Camaro by his human friends.

BTW, he also communicates through his radio.

I was never really into Transformers, so I don't have any point of reference for films like this, so I might just enjoy it.

oh i know ia m gonna love it. the only way i wouldnt liked this movie is if they butchered it and made it for 6 year olds. OHHHH if that happned..... "Somebudy gonna get a hurt reeeal baaad"

There is only one Transformers movie.

I guess the only reason I say that is because the man who wrote it taught my class at USC.

On a side note, as soon as he told us that he'd written it, we all lambasted him for killing off Optimus Prime. He then said that it wasn't his decision to do it.
