Me too; I heard Ray Liotta is amazing.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Liotta was definitely great. I love the comeback he's been making the last couple of years. He's such a great actor that was relegated to such crap after Goodfellas. Nice to see him doing some worthwhile acting again.

I suddenly realized I didn't even have ROTK on here. Yikes. Gundark will be happy that it bumps off one of my "2002" releases.

1. The Last Samurai - easily Cruise's best work, IMHO
2. Finding Nemo
3. Lost in Translation
4. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
5. Open Range
6. Narc (not in wide release until '03; so to me here in Chicago, this is a 2003 release)
7. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
8. X2: X-Men United
9. Something's Gotta Give
10. Big Fish

And I'm planning to see 21 Grams on Wednesday night. I like Sean Penn, so here's hoping. And not that Naomi Watts is anything to scoff at ("her name is 'I moan' backwards" -- Ryan Reynolds, National Lampoon's Van Wilder)

lol Narc sure was a scorcher of an under rated movie!

Reminded me alot of an old film called RUSH (which also starred Jason Patric as a narc)

Only just got round to seeing CONfidence the other day!

Another 2003 release & another top movie!

I still need to see CONfidence. But, on the Rachel Weisz tip, I did see Runaway Jury and it was good.

I saw Rush years ago and it was great. Patric is a highly underrated actor. I still listen to the Rush soundtrack regularly. Great Eric Clapton music and it's the first CD to have the studio version of Tears in Heaven. I hated the Unplugged version. Hell, I hated the whole Unplugged album that Clapton did. That version of Layla pisses me off to this day.

I'm going to have to side with him, I hated GoNY. But in general I think Scorese is overrated, though he has made some great films like Taxi driver and Kundun.

There are very few Scorsese films I don't like. The only ones that I don't like are Color of Money and Cape Fear (I'll take the original any day of the week... Robert Mitchum is the baddest Max Cady of them all). Can't say I was too keen on Casino either. Bit of a bore.

Goodfellas, on the other hand, is practically cinematic perfection.

Sean, I used to love the Narc game. God, I forgot all about that one.

New version of my list:
Kill Bill Vol. 1
Finding Nemo
Whale Rider
Dirty Pretty Things
PotC
Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas
Once Upon a Time in Mexico
RotK
Something's Gotta Give-- what a smart and funny movie!
School of Rock-- finally, a film about music in schools that isn't schmaltzy

That makes 10. It'll probably get modified again over the next couple of months.
