First of all, have you all heard of/about The RiffTrax Service. (RiffTrax are downloadable audio commentaries featuring comedian Michael J. Nelson heckling (or riffing) films in the style of Mystery Science Theater 3000. The RiffTrax are sold on a web site where users can purchase and download the commentaries. The site was launched by Nelson and Legend Films in 2006 and is based in San Diego.)

If not then you can find more info here:

here are some threads over at RiffTrax RoundTable ( The Official RiffTrax forum) that pertain to video editing, that I thought you might find useful.

UNOFFICIAL Rifftrax DVD Creating Step-by-Step Guide (Now With Rifftrax Lite):

the above thread I am linked to, among other things, mentions and explains how to use a "little" tool called delaycut, - A neccesary little tool that fixes your audio file after it is ran through DVD decrypter, that seems like it might help people having problems with video/audio syncing when using ADigitalMan's Guide to MPEG2/AC3 Editing.

The above two threads are geared towards syncing the Star Wars Holiday "Special" with its Rifftrax (http://shop.rifftrax.com/rifftrax/star-wars-holiday-special), but they still seemed useful for general video editing.
