Thoughts on SE

Okay, now that I've seen them, here's my thoughts.

Personally, I just found it way too jarring, seeing these digital effects in a movie that was obviously made in the 1970s/early 80s. This distracted me to know end and lowered my enjoyment of the films. Other than that, I had no problems with them...

... Except for one: That horrible musical number in Return of the Jedi. Come on Lucas, this is Star Wars, not a flippin' Disney film!

Imagine Jon Lovitz voicing Jay Sherman on The Critic and he'll tell you just how the special edition is.

I know it's been discussed before. That's why I'm NOT discussing it. I'm just stating my opinion.

Why not state it on a previous thread rather then starting a new one?

Was in a hurry at the time, and couldn't find the previous thread.

It dont matter, this is a forum soley for the purpose of debating the SE versions. That's why its called Theatrical Cuts Vs. Special Editions. I'm quite sure their monthly webspace bill isn't going to increase just because someone decided to add yet another thread to the forum.

Sorry, cant' do that; I haven't got my shots up to date, and who knows what I'd catch from you?

I know what you'd catch. It's called badtasteinmoviesism. It can only be cured by repeated viewings of classics like Casablanca, North by Northwest, Vertigo, Psycho, Ben Hur. If none of those work, try the Original Version of the Star Wars Original Trilogy! Works every time. However, finding the cure is becoming increasingly difficult. Hence why prescription drug costs are so high.

And the fact that some people are just plain ignorant of the fact that they need treatment.
