In this thread, somebody says that the prequels should and will be ignored while also saying that the Jedi should and will have the no attachments policy.
According to "A New Dawn", they are throwing out the no attachments rule:

It will be fascinating to see how the characters evolve as Rebels progresses. Especially in light of what is revealed in the book, that the Jedi ban on romantic relationships is not part of the Jedi Code but an addition to their rules for life later.

I'm having trouble understanding what exactly that line means. Is the reviewer trying to say that the "no attachments" rule is something that wasn't originally part of the Jedi Code but became dogma years/centuries/millennia later?
That's what I'm guessing.DuracellEnergizer said:

Got some clarification RE: "No Attachments":
"From what Kanan says in his remembering, it’s not a part of the Code, but a later addition to the rules"
Basically it sounds like the New Jedi Order will be like the Christian Restoration Movement, going back to the original ideals of the order and not the traditions that built up over the years.

I can't stand how they'll if you say anything bad about the prequel Jedi on TFN, they'll compare you to a nazi or to a sith. By demonizing anyone who disagrees with someone, aren't they the ones acting like nazis?
If you like the OT more than the prequels then you aren't a fan, but if you like the prequels more than the OT then you are awesome. If you dislike anything about Star Wars (except the OOT, you're allowed to hate that) then you aren't a "true fan". Whatever the fuck that means. Also, if you point out a plot hole, it's actually all your fault for not researching books written to fill in those plotholes. There, I just summed up TFN.
