I liked both versions, but I was really impressed with Willis' low-key portrayal. Of course, I'm a big fan of most of the actors in that film too, so maybe I'm biased.

And it WAS nice to see Matilda May again on screen, at least those of us who nudely... er, I mean *fondly* remember her from 'Lifeforce'!

LOL....now THAT was a bad movie!

MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.

Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

^ Agreed. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAayyyy too much "Grinch" in that movie. It was too full of potential "deleted scenes".

Grinch is a piece of garbage. You don't go stretching a Dr. Seuss book to a 2+ hours film unless you are a soulless moneygrubber. Same goes for Cat in the Hat.

In both cases, stick with the TV specials.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

I won't even go see Cat in the Hat. No way.

Would you could you on a boat?
Would you could you in a moat?
Would you poke your eyes out when,
Watching Hayden Christensen?

Wasn't a bad movie.

I agree, but some people can't get passed the fact the son survived.

That didn't bother me too much, though I have to say I find it rather unlikely as well.

To me, the ending of WOTW just seemed forced and a typical hollywood ending.

Then the ending of the book must suck as well. (And no, it's not great just because it's old.)

The movie doesn't belong on a "Worst ever" list.

It reminds me of when people say GW is the worst president ever (or Clinton, or Reagan, etc.) There were some truly horrible presidents, most wouldn't know (or care to) because they didn't live through their terms.

War of the Worlds is fairly new and until recently was somewhat popular, and while maybe not a great or even especially good movie (depending on your tastes,) putting it on a worst ever list means you've either seen a handful of movies in your lifetime (and have never seen a genuinely bad one,) or have singled it out because you saw it recently and didn't particularly enjoy it. New and disappointing? Maybe. One of the worst ever? Nope.

That being said the Matrix sequels (Reloaded and Revolutions) were the two worst movies ever made. Before you reply saying how ironic that claim is given my post keep in mind that I will respond with "Shut your face up."

I just put TNT in your britches and my tongue in your bitches.

Worst movies ever.

Have a good one.

I liked it but the most major flaw with me was it didn't have any depth in the characters.

The Dinkins speaks truth here. Or at least two OF the worst.

Then again I'm a two-faced whore, as I recently bought the 'Neo head statue' box set because A) I got it new for $30 and B) I really wanted to see the documentaries despite my distaste for parts 2 & 3. I honestly wouldn't crack the shrinkwrap because I felt *guilty* for having bought the set. Guilt. I don't FEEL guilt! Does that show how much I don't like those films?!?!

That's truly sad, greencapt. Anyhoo, back on topic:

Worst movies ever: Midnight Cowboy. Here's a link to my IMDb review: Midnight Cowboy Review.

The people who decided to make that movie should be shot. Every copy of the movie should be seized and destroyed.

here's a few more bad ones(not sure if they've been meantioned yet)

License To Kill.
Star Trek 5
Rocky 3-6
Die Hard 3
Dracula's Daughter
The Son of Dracula
The House of Dracula
The House of Frankenstein
All The latter Hammer Horror Movies.

"That's how the book ended too, though."

If the book was based on the screenplay/movie, then you have the tail wagging the dog.
