By the unanimous vote of all twister111s here, I am starting a thread devoted to the debate of abortion.

Those who know my style know I'm generally fairly middle ground and am good at seeing others' perspectives and trying to be accommodating. You will find no such middle ground here. I feel abortion should only be permitted when the mother's health is severely at risk, be it physical or mental, meaning following rape/incest. Even then, I feel it should not be a default decision, but rather a well-thought one. I will never understanding how someone can feel so passionately about women's rights that they feel justified in removing the right to life of another human. Even if I did not believe in God, I could never support this practice. How can we protect the lives of endangered animals and plants, yet treat unborn human life as trivial because we are not endangered? I'll never understand it. But you're welcome to try to make me. I'm ready to be outnumbered, but I assure you I am will not cop out on this topic.

Because unborn embryo's have no feelings or sensations. That's is why I am very strongly pro choice, at the very least in that area of subject/topic..!!!!

George Carlin would explain himself perfectly if he were still alive.

Please delete that specific YubNubGuy post, for me, mods/admin. I perfectly, understand that, due to the time constraints of the job of being a moderator/admin, you don't have the time to delete all of my numerous posts, but I'll only select about a few of them for you guys to delete. This YubNubGuy Post is one of them. (and, also, delete this reply post, too, as it also includes the quote of my yubnubguy post.

Let me translate what you're saying. I deserve stress and physical sickness because "you post it, deal with it". So, I deserve to be very nervous and panicking and anxious and sick and upset because of this? All of my anxiety and sickness is well deserved?

No. Absoltuley not. Even the mods show some understanding for my nervousness about my posts.

I'm picking about just a few other posts for me to delete; after all Silver Wook, Jay, don't have the time nor the quick resources to delete the long list of posts that I want. Maybe about just several other posts that I want deleted, I'll pick those.

You keep making accounts when you've been told not to. And you've been hassling people. The things you do have consequences, even on the internet. Deal with it.

Well, notwithstanding what you're saying here, it doesn't take that long for Jay/Silver Wook to delete just a few (maybe like several of them, like 5 or 6) posts that I want deleted.

Please respond to that.

OK, I won't make another account on this site after this week is over, I promised that, remember?

You are the guy that's telling me that I deserve stress and anxiety and nervousness and physical sickness/not feeling good just for posting some stupid stuff in that past, and now I deserve that. I'm just going to pick about a few (Key words-just a few), more posts for SIlver wook and jay to delete.

I'm telling you that you get to lie in the bed you made. The stress and anxiety and blah blah blah is all your own choice.

Goodbye.

Goodbye.

So, what's wrong with Jay/Silver Wook deleting just a few of my posts?

I'm being very considerate of the mods/admins job. They don't have the software to mass delete my posts nor do they have the time to delete a long list of posts. I'm just picking several posts that I really want deleted, that's all I'm doing.

So, you're saying that the mods shouldn't delete my posts, even just a few of them, because I deserve all of the embrassment and nervousness and physical sickness and stress as a consequence of posting stupid stuff on the Internet? I'm sorry to tell you this, but mods/admins can delete posts too!

I definitely advocate for this. If it truly does no harm to a fertilized egg (and evidence overwhelming shows it does not), then I'd rather give this out like candy than see more teenagers have abortions. Call me a RINO, but I see it as saving life, not costing it.

so this pill stops a pregnancy before the sperm cell hits the egg cell? If true, I have no problem with it.

That is my understanding. If only other Repubs would see it that way. I'm not a fan of teens being sexually active, but I'm even less of a fan of dodging the consequences with abortions. At least this will reduce the latter.

If you support abortions--specifically late-term abortions (abortions after the fetus is viable after about 21 or 22 weeks--I'm going off the top of my head here, but it's close to that anyway), then I recommend you watch that video. The video itself does not contain graphic content, but the women discuss how the abortion doctor they worked with did abortions in graphic language. Even though what happened is not legal where it happened, it happens and it gives you an idea of how brutal abortions are when they happen late. In Canada, abortions are entirely legal up until the moment of birth, so I bet it happens often here.

I linked to a site on which the video was posted, rather than linking directly to Youtube, because I know some of you would prefer not having to see related videos with graphic imagery on the side of your screen.

It's sad that he got away with it. If you did watch the video, what are your thoughts?

I think Life Dynamics has the wrong approach completely. Some of what they say is true, but from what I can tell, they are twisting the data and making fools of themselves. I support their intent (to end abortion) but I don't think they have good methods. 40 Days For Life is aimed more in the right direction I think.

I didn't watch the video. I only did some searching to make sure this really happened. I can't find anything conclusive, but I wanted to at least make sure that this clinic really exists.

It's worth noting that Life Dynamics did the video...which makes it suspect in my mind. Not saying it didn't happen, but it does make me wonder given the source.

I would like to know the reason that they did not get an indictment. One possibility is that he's innocent. Another is that he's guilty but there wasn't enough evidence.

Either way, this (and the one before it) is not the norm. If he is guilty, he should be locked up for a very long time. Incidentally, I have told my story before, but ours was done in a completely professional and humane manner (at a regular hospital, by the way). This was over seven years ago now, but thanks to changes in the law, a regular hospital can no longer accommodate needy people like us.

I didn't connect the dots there, so I missed that Life Dynamics did the video. Now I see what you were getting at. Having seen the video, I know the women were talking about actual abortion procedure, regardless of whether or not the post-birth abortions they mentioned were true. I find it disturbing how they do it most cases, but I'll leave it at that since I know it is a sensitive topic for you and I think I would be wasting my time.

From what I know of your story, I don't think what you did was very wrong, if it was at all. I don't know all the details, but I certainly don't hold it against you. I'm sorry you had to make a decision like that, and now that I know more of the story I understand why it was such a hard experience to deal with (not that just having a still-born child wouldn't be hard).
