Nanner, good to see your posts. I am unfortunately long winded in my posts, what you has said is the best abridgement of what I have been trying to say all along. This whole situation is retarded. TB never had any right to come here. And HotRod had every right to post what he posted. He may have apologized, but I never will for what I am about to say. You guys are the saddest things ever. Who would have though the title of this thread would have come to describe this situation so accurately. This is the internet, HR had the right to say whatever he want. TB NEVER had any right to bash HR fathering abilities. That is completely wrong and self rightous.

Now this whole thing has become a stupid game where you try to convince us WOW is awsome. We don't care. You guys can't go on crusades to every forum whos members criticize your hard work.

You guys, even Alekseyev in all his "reasonibility" have proving nothing with all, except the facrt that you guys can't bare criticism and have no concept of personal opinion and peoples rights to theirs.

You guys, even the great Lord Total Biscuit, acted badly. It is a fact. Face it. You say we all would've acted just as TB did if we had our hard work insulted, that is a bunch of crap! Plenty of writers have spend years writing a book, then had critics crap on it in the worst kind of way. Any writer you can think of has has his books pissed on. No writer goes on a crusade defending his work. This is not the normal way to behave in such a situation. It is a very immature way to behave in such a situation. TB needs to learn to take a little criticism.

It wasn't criticism. It was blatant bashing, calling it the "saddest thing ever", and insulting. Plain and simple. Man up.

No more long winded posts on my part, as they have failed to get through to you. I will stay here, however, in hopes that at least most people can come to an understanding, even if a few of you hold out and wish to be stubborn about it.

EDIT: I think I missed where TB bashed HotRod's fathering abilities, and if it's where he said he hopes he doesn't teach his son prejudice and intolerance, then, well, I'm inclined to agree with TB. (although from what I've seen of HotRod, I wouldn't worry about it; he's able to man up and mend tensions and clarify his words, and that I greatly respect) But if in fact he did say something much harsher, then sure, I'll agree that's uncalled for, even if it seemed you guys were trying to use the fact that he is a father as some sort of "shield".

Keep your opinions. My own thoughts on you, C3PX, and what you represent remain as well. I expressed them a few posts back. I am sorry we could not come to an agreement here.

Well, I guess...I guess I'm wondering why you guys are still posting in a hostile manner, trying to convince me that what I have done is uncalled for, and that TB should have never done this or that.

EDIT: Hehe, struck a nerve, did I? Didn't mean to. But, I suppose once again that is my fault for not making it clear. Those were TotalBiscuit's words, not mine, sir. I believe he was refering to the fact that WoW Radio listeners/members were called the "saddest thing ever", thus implying intolerance for people who enjoy different hobbies. (sound familiar?)

I, however, cannot speak for TB. Only he can do that. Put the pitchfork down for a moment and quit being so volatile.

It wasn't blatant bashing, it was his opinion. If he registered at your site and posted it, I would tell you to crucify him. But the fact is that he posted it here. And my point was some critics criticism is pretty harsh and could be taken as "blatant bashing" by some people. There is nothing to man up to. As much as you want me to admit HotRod was wrong, I never will. Because he had every right to say exactly what he wanted. Yes, you have failed to get through to me, and to others here as well, because there is nothing to get through.

We all have a right to our own opinions. Man up.

Anyway, Alekseyev. I see you have made a few post in other thread. If you intend to stick around, then welcome to the forum. There is no reason you and I can't get along. You will never convince me that HotRod was in any way wrong with what he said. You shouldn't feel you have to convince me of this. What you guys did was pretty immature. But, on the bright side, perhaps we got a serious new member who will be an asset to the forum in the future. I hope so anyway.

Indeed, you make good points, and I do agree with some of it. On the rest...we will have to agree to disagree, eh? I believe criticism is fine if you're criticizing the piece of work itself, but not the people who indulge in it. I don't think that's right. But if this is the closest thing to a ceasefire (forgive my dramatic choice of words; I'm a writer) we will get, then I am happy it is so.

However, while you are welcome to think the "invasion" of your forums was immature (and it was, in a way) I do remind you that some people, like myself, simply came over to talk peace and give honest, genuine thoughts on the matter that were in no way inflammatory or insulting.

I do hope you diffrentiate between these people and the rest. I, too, see no reason we cannot get along, but only if you are rational enough to diffrentiate, as I said, and not see things in black and white.

EDIT: I see. You edit your post, and claim not to try and undo everything you just said, but you do just that. Very smooth. From accusations of some sort of strange "devotion" to TB (I said I like his radio broadcasting...uh?) to you telling me that a voice of reason is not needed. (a voice of reason is *always* needed, my friend) I am afraid I am out of options. Your edit was unnecessary, and I am sorry that rather than leave it where it was, you had to continue.

You last post came up while I was writing mine, so the edit was to address the things you said. You were still trying to prove your case, and I was merely saying it was not nessicary and that you should drop it. By saying "your" devotuon, I ment it in the plural, meaning all of those who came here. The edit I made was saying that if your reason for staying is to push your point futher, then don't. And if you want to stay for fun and enjoy some other discussions, then drop all of this and we can forget it.

My final post was in regards to your condition of staying here and us getting along. I was saying there is no condition, you either stay or you don't.

1) I read your posts in full. You were defending the other WoW poster in this thread and he’s the one who’s acting strange because someone doesn’t happen to place as much value to WoW as he does. WoW is just a game.

(If you want to start pointing fingers, you obviously are not carefully considering what I was stating. Instead, you’re reacting in a very defensive and overly sensitive way, which makes me wonder why you’re so insecure.)


2) I read what you said (and I mentioned the lore in the game [but you don’t need to read what I say, correct?]), but I also know that WoW-radio has what I described as well. Are you saying that it never dwells on those subjects?

As for Warhammer, that is a cool tabletop game series, and you can tell that the people at Blizzard are fans of it, but as far as I’m concerned, Warhammer is often very generic and uninspiring as well. There have been fantasy stories around for years that use most of these concepts before they were placed into games. Blizzard added in some originality, but they don’t bother hiding what they steal because it’s just a game. I don’t see why this factual observation on my part was trying to “get a rise” from you, but perhaps you can enlighten me. The “lore” behind the WarCraft universe is meant for fun, not aesthetic achievement.

And I already knew that you admitted being nerdy, but your actions begged my additional questions. You and the person you’re defending are taking this way too seriously. If you realize that you’re a nerd, then you should be able to shrug all of this off. Instead you’re getting more worked up as time goes by.

As a nerd with many nerdy interests, I’d probably laugh if I saw someone attacking my obsessions. The criticisms would probably be true in many respects.

I’m not even trying to “insult” you here. I’m just wondering why you’re all so thin skinned. Why do you need to discuss this and smooth everything out? It seems like a silly subject to me.

But I am unwilling to sit here in hostile territory where anything I say, no matter how docile, is attacked from all directions. Sorry, I felt I owed him a reply, at least, and an offer to discuss it somewhere other than this "wretched hive of scum and villainy", or however the quote goes. Slow forum discussions are not my style, as on here it's much easier for you to twist my words and make me out to be a villain. Aleks, I know I am wasting my breath here, but honestly. What are you trying to prove? Since the beginning you have been no different from those others from your site, you just disguise it by claiming you are the voice of reason. All it takes is to go back and read this whole thread from a - z to see you were never the voice of reason and none of you had any reason to come here in the first place. There is nothing disturbing about that post. If you notice the dates it ranges from back to November and it is just our little escape during times of bordom. It is just fun joking around between friends. This issue has never been anything to do with WOW nerds wasting their time, and everything to do with self rightous, overly sensitive members of one community registering and flaming members of another community for some off handed comment made by one poster that reflected none other than his very own opinion. When the members of the invaded community made fun of the invading spammers, you suddenly took it upon yourself to prove how very wrong and immature we were for that. This whole thing was one of the most retarded things I have ever seen on the internet. Most of the members here have not even bothered to post in here because they see it for what it is. I have been very vocal because I have been snowed in for the last two days and have found this thread a particularly entertaining past time.
