He didn't even post in your domain, he posted it in ours for his pals to read. You guys in some creepy way discovered his post and send men out to "take care of it". You guys are like the bloody nerd gestapo of the internet. Poor HotRod has been charged with thought crime for speaking out against the Nerd Party. From now on in my mind every time somebody says they are a WOW fan, I am going to automatically assume they are a total git (a total biscuit if you will) based on my own personal experience with WOW fans. I never clicked this thread until just now because the title didn't really interest me that much. I didn't even catch on (stupid me) that WOW was World of Warcraft. But I saw how much traffic this was getting, and I was bored, so I stepped in and read this and had a really great time doing so. Quite funny. Alriiight! *cracks knuckles* Time for me to butt in to this conflict and attempt to play mediator. Since this is the Internet, nobody can shut me up! ^_~

I really don't see why anybody's getting all worked up. Maybe insulting someone's hard work could be considered a low blow, but you have to expect that anytime you publicly expose a good or service available to the general public. Some people are going to like it, some people are going to hate it, some people are going to make fun of it. That's simply the way it goes, and you're going to have to learn to develop a thicker skin if you plan to stay in the radio business.

That said, I really don't think HotRod was really wailing on World of Warcraft to begin with. Face it. You guys are nerds. You're geeks. You're dorks. World of Warcraft is a nerdy, geeky, dorky hobby. People who post on Star Wars message boards are nerds. They are geeks. They are dorks. We are nerds, geeks, and dorks. While some might take offense to that, I find it a banner I am very proud to fly. Yet I am aware of how the mainstream might see me, and I'm all into that, too. I'm aware I'm a geek, and I can make fun of myself. I can make fun of Star Wars, Firefly, Star Trek, Zelda, and all the fandoms and fans associated with it. It's par for the course for others to make fun of such a hobby, but it takes a bigger person to laugh at himself. Hell, you should be relieved that it's other dorks, who can relate to you, who are taking pot shots at you, rather than the "mainstream world" who may or may not just be having some fun.

So please take my words to heart and learn to have more fun with yourselves. But if you're just continuing to post here and keep this thread going simply to generate more free advertisements for yourselves, then I would suggest you quit it.

Firstly thanks to C3PX for defending me in my absense. Secondly, i could have phrased my original post a little better. It's just after 2 days of listening to the drivel of what's the best weapon and what takes more health from you in battle, i could no longer contain myself. I really don't have a problem with you guys spending all you life playing a game, i was just expressing my opinion on a star wars forum, that's all.

I think all of Biscuit's pot shots at your fathering capibilities has a lot to do with jealousy. Biscuit probably feels bad because he cannot have children. Not because there is something physically wrong with him, but because he has never had any prospects for getting laid, a very important part of the whole fathering thing. Of course, he is a badass internet warrior champion of which we will never defeat if we are so foolish to continue our futile war against him (uh, so how exactly do we stop it? Not quite sure how we got into it in the first place), so maybe he has all sorts of nerd babes hanging off of his shoulders. In this case it is safe to say (and thank God for this) that it is in fact a problem with him manhood that prevents him from fathering his own children.

I am sorry we have not had more forum interaction in here, but I think everyone is in the same boat as Gaffer, they didn't see any interest in this thing so they never read it. It is a real kick though isn't it? You know, I wish we had an unbeatable internet warrior champion. Then we could all waste our lives invading other peoples communities and insult their members on personal levels. Wait, no... on second thought I don't want that. The real world is much more interesting. Never mind.

And now to address my fellow forum members: Are you guys as nervous as I am about this unbeatable forum warrior? Yeah I thought so. Oh well. "you can't beat TB in a forum war. Ever." This is my favorite quote. Ever. I am actually printing this whole thread off, and placing a copy of it in my safe deposit box. That way, even if the internet comes to a total end, and all our machines go awire, this thread will live on forever in a small fireproof little box. When I am a depressed old man and need something good and funny to read to cheer me up, this thread will be among the many things I turn to.

A big one here but I got to let it off my chest.

The one thing that I find a real shame, aside from all the mud slinging or personal digs, is the use of stereotypes. I find it feeble and ignorant.

Hundreds of millions of people of all ages, children, teenagers, adults and yes even retired people all around the world play video games. It is a industry where billions of dollars/pounds are speant in. It is a hugely common past time which many people enjoy doing regulary, as is playing sports, reading a book or going to the cinema to see a film. Many people play video games and are normal, social, healthly people who lead an active, healthly lifestyle and aren't all insane murders who butcher people in dark alleyways after playing a violent game or live in their mom's basement scared of natural light.

Now in this industry one of the major genres of games is the Mmorpgs (Massively multiplayer online roleplaying games) and world of warcraft currently is the biggest game in that genre with over 8 million active subscribers. Now I play and enjoy the game. I won't go on with the "I got blah blah blah in rel lyfe so I r not nerd plz kthzbai" I don't need to I'm happy with who I am and don't feel insecure enough to tell the world about my life. But yeah you do hear stories about people playing it for 72 hours straight and dying from exhaustion or people with no social skills because they haven't seen natural light in years, yeah that is a horrible thing to happen and something did really go wrong there. But to say that all 8 million people are recluses who play the game 24/7 is completely and utterly wrong and I can't stand that.

That is like saying every single fan of star wars camps out for says on end in front of cinemas to see the film first or all walk around the streets dressed up as Darth vader with a lightsaber? See how silly it is? because to say any wow player plays the game 24/7 is just as ignorant.

One of the best things about Wow in my opinion is the social aspect of the game and how you can play with people from around the world from different countries, classes and age groups with out fear of stereotypes or your appearence. You can make friends, chat about stuff, not just the game believe it or not. It is why wow includes the concept of guilds, so groups of friends can group together to form their own clan within the game. The biggest challenge in wow is through teamplay and what will be 25 people trying to take down a challenging boss. This requires a good amount of teamwork, social interaction and the ability to have fun with other people.

Now onto wow radio. What is it? It is a radio station where people who like the game can go and discuss it, about the various aspects of wow and other games in general. Basically a bunch of friends chatting about the game they enjoy playing. Isn't that what you guys have here? A bunch of people who enjoy the star wars films, who chat about it and other things because you enjoy it. What is wrong with that? Nothing at all and in my opinion neither is wow radio.

Maybe you guys have had bad experiences with online games or the people who play it (I guess this could count as one), yeah there are some real horrible people out there but drop the stereotypes, they are usually, if not always wrong, most people who play online games are normal healthly people with jobs, familes of their own and lives. Just like I'm sure you guys all have and enjoy. But come on, keep an open mind about things like these and do not always believe the stereotypes and go about insulting people for doing something they enjoy, yeah its your opinion hotshot but people have put alot of time and effort into the station, it is hard work (you guys have no idea what is needed) so that IS a personal insult just as it is to insult you as a father, that is why people are offended and when people are insulted they get defensive, it's a natural reaction.

I ain't going to insult you Hotshot, I know to be a father is an admirable and challenging thing to be but being able to keep an open mind is what many people in this world lack, its what causes alot of problems in this world and it should be one of the most important things to teach your kid.

I imagine I'll get flamed now, so meh fire away. My death star's shields are up (a bad joke I know). I had 5minutes to spare

I have nothing against playing online games (man, i've played enough in my time) i was just going on about having to listen to wow radio for 2 days straight. I'll admit it can be amusing at times, but when a chick comes on and talks endlessly about reaching level 30 with whatever, well i'm just amazed. Come on, it's just a bloody game.
Does anyone really care? No.

It is his opinion. What the hell is wrong with that. He didn't go tauting you on your site, he gave a personal opinion to his friends on his community. Again, you made a radio station, you put your self out there. Look at all the effort it takes to make a movie, or to write a book. Now go over to amazon and read the user reviews of any book, movie, game or whatever. Notice there are positive and negative reviews. Those people put a lot of hard work in making that book, movie or game. And some people didn't like it. How dare they. Those reviews are peoples opinions. Those people have the right to their opinions. You do see responses from the authors or directors coming in and attacking the reviewer.

Also, if you can't see the difference between running a radio station and raising a kid, this proves how immature you really are. You know nothing about HotRod, and you really have no reason to come and piss on his personal life. That is really low. You can have an opinion on a work of art or entertainment, but you really have no right to piss on somebodies personal life when you know nothing of them.

Somebody mentioned that this is great publicity for your site, well I would say it is just labeling you guys as a bunch of dicks. I think any outsider would immediately see this.

I have never played any warcraft game in my life, probably it is the greatest even placed on this planet. I don't care. I also don't care if retired people play games, I have nothing wrong with this. I don't think any of us do. But you know what? If I were to go around saying "Warcraft sucks!" do you know what Blizzard (or whoever publishes it) is going to do to me? Nothing. Because they have a more realistic outlook on life. When HotRod put the words "saddest thing ever" on the title of this thread, I did not feel it was really the saddest thing ever, and I am sure HotRod didn't either, he was merely using overstatment. However, now I am seeing that you guys are pretty sad little people. People who see no difference between rasing a kid and running a radio station. How long do you think your station will be around for? Another two years maybe? Doubt it will last anywhere near ten. Because people just are not interested in playing the same game for that long. In the end what do you have? Some fond memories? Great. But you cannot compare that to a familiy by any means. It is very low coming here and railing personal attacks against the guy for stating his opinion among friends. I know I made a big personal attack against TB a post ago. This was just in response to his personal attacks on HotRod. I know nothing about the guy, he could be married for all I know. Somehow I doubt it, but he could be. Hopefully TB is big enough to just shake it off and move on. I just hope that in the future he learns to be a lot less sensitive about other peoples opinions of his work, and to be slower to launch extreme personal attacks against his critics. Judging on all of the post you guys have made, you are all really young. So hopefully you all learn something from this experience. I don't know how many more of you are going to sign up here, but honestly with every knew member that comes, you guys look all the more rediculous. Do you just want to give up your little jihad? It isn't too late to quit with your dignity intact (well, I guess it is too late, but it can only get worse from here).

Exactly, this thread became very sad, very quickly.

Talking, LIVE, about the encyclopedic details of a game's elements is truly worthy of ridicule. I'm sorry. It would be like someone here discussing all of the intricate details of Star Wars collectables as the sole, continual purpose for a live radio show. I would never expect someone to allot time in their schedule for listening to something like that.

What pissed me and others off here was that you came to our forum and made personal insults. C3PX was right about some of you guys being jealous here. I mean there are certain members here who suffer with girls just as much as the wow radio staff. That's not my problem. I have a missus a 2 year old son and a baby on the way, but you don't see me on the wow forum boasting about it. Man, you'd all cry if i said that shit. You'd realise what you're missing.

And while I can imagine how much more internet traffic we must be getting from all this than they are, I'm not really one to get worked up over such things. (And considering the kind of traffic we've received, I don't think we're the better for it.)

I am not quite sure what to say about that. All I know is that what I said before about the only thing you guys are proving by coming over here and posting is that you are all a bunch of dicks rings truer than ever before. The fact that this radio station plays such a large role in your lives that a small amount of criticism cuts you this deep is really sad to me. You guys talk about "Lord Total Biscuit" coming to kick us in the face. This shows me that you guys don't have a very firm grip on reality. I honestly didn't find anything wrong with your radio staion before, to each their own, but the more I hear from you guys, the more pathetic you all seem to me. Lighten up and relax. Many of you that keep registering here to flame us seem not to have read anything that has been posted, except perhaps HotRods first post. Just to give a quick recap so you might be able to see what has been going on here. We post an opinion about your radio station. We know nothing about it at all, HotRod was expose to two hours of it by the guy sitting next to him at work who was listening to it out loud. after hearing two hours of it he felt it was pretty lame. This was his opinion. I hope we are all in agreement that everybody has a right to their own opinion. If you don't then I am afraid you are in for some rough time in life. After he posts his opinion, you guys some how stumble across it, get all huffy about it and now endless hoards of you are registering and insulting our members. You guys are the ones in the wrong here, you are breaking our forum's rules by throwing out personal assults. We have never even touched your forum. None of us have registered for it or have even the slightest impluse to do so. Most of us have never even seen or heard of your website or even care about it.

You really had no business here to start with. What you are doing is as obsurd as Universial Studios going after Roger Ebert for giving a film two thumbs down.

We were not intending to dis anybody here. Just someone having had to listen to your station for a period of time, and posted his feelings about it.

I am not sure what you guys are playing at, or what you are trying to accomplish. I promise you, you're wasting your time here. You are not going to get HotRod to apologize, if this is your hope. I am not sure how many more of you are going to come here register for the sole purpose of threatening us or flaming us, but honestly sometimes enough is enought. There really is no debate here, so I am not exactly sure what you guys keep coming here for. Maybe it is time you guys give it up. Like I said, this thread is getting really redundant.
