The last time I saw one of the Star Wars movies. Hmmm...... I think it was 2 weeks ago I saw the whole Star Wars Trilogy in one day. I wanted to see the prequel trilogy too but I couldn't find the time.

I watched Star Wars yesterday. I can never settle if i like this or Empire more. Usually i like to think Empire, maybe because i am more drawn to dark subject matter but then once i start watching Star Wars i remember how much i utterly love it.

I watched the entire OT on VHS just yesterday afternoon-and I think my tapes are beginning to wear thin.

Cause I work so many hours during the week, I usually make time to watch one movie on the weekend to kind of relax. If I don't rent a new movie that is out, I will keep up watching Star Wars, ESB, & ROTJ in that order, and then start over again in the order. As much as I find ROTJ inferior, I never have a problem watching it as part of the trilogy and have never got sick of any of those movies, ever. I tried 1-6 once, and by the start of AOTC, I said to myself, "I only got this average movie, and alittle better ROTS, and then I can get to the good stuff." At that point I stopped and realize that 1-6 doesn't work for me, cause I was yearning to watch the OT movies, and seemed to be watching the PT movies out of obligation.

Its been over a month since me and the Mrs watched some Star Wars movies the last two we watched were actually Attack of the Clones and Star Wars 77, were not really that interested in watching it in George's order 1-6 as we havent the time and as we have seen it as he intended once, we cant be bothered to do so again so we just pick the ones we feel like watching when do want to watch one,

We like watching all types of films and what with the excitement of the World Cup over here and everything else happening at home its becoming a bit of a occasion when we actually do throw in a Star Wars film to watch and it is more than generally we throw in an OT film, but we do throw in PT film as well some of the time.

seeing it 1-6 (SE included) is an unwatchable, depressing 12 hour film. The OOT, however, is the 6 hour opposite

I always pop in my pretty darn good Moth3r PAL DVD's in my player from time to time, especially when I just want to kick back and relax (and enjoy some nostalgia), in fact I just watched Empire (my favorite) two days ago and loved every bloody minute of the unaltered goodness. I've got the prequels on DVD but I hardly ever watch them and if I were to make any sort of sequence out of the movies it would be III, IV, V and VI, but preferably just the good old OOT.
peace,

It's been a relatively long time, which is understandable since I'm still tinkering with editing the prequels.

But I plan on watching them soon, once we get our widescreen TV set.

My stance on revising fan edits.

Heh I just skipped to and watched the ending of Ep III ... damn I love that ending more and more now. Especially when Anakin bursts into flames after the amazing lightsabre dual - but also when he and the Emperor look out at their Death Star - damn - love it!

I saw ROTS two days ago. I’m still trying to convince myself that there’s more to like than to dislike about that film. I hope with each additional viewing to have more of a love for the film, as I do when watching the OT, but I just end up noticing even more things that I don’t like.

Heh, Same Here. It's the complete oposite of my affection for the OT. The first time I watched TPM, AOTC and ROTS, I thought they were pretty cool. Each subsequent time I watched them, they were worse and worse for me, especially ROTS, which I thought was good in my initial viewing of it. I was taken in by the special effects and amazing lightsaber duels in each film, not noticing the horrible dialouge and numerous plot holes they created. Now, I can't even stand to watch PM. AOTC is ok, but now I can't stand most of ROTS. (In fact, AOTC is probably the one in the PT I can find the most enjoyment in.)

Anyway, what was the last Star Wars film I watched? ESB, last week.

Wow, same here. The more I watch ROTS, the more I dislike about it. The things that I like really stand out, but you have to muddle through so much crap, it almost doesn't make it worth it. That's why I always say it's the best and the worst of the prequels. It contains the best moments of all the prequels (even a few of the strongest moments in all the movies, I have to admit), but it also contains all the worst moments too, in my opinion. And good moments a good movie do not make.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I watched Return of the Jedi on my PSP last weekend.

For research purposes of course!

I watched Ep3 on HBO a few days ago. It was even worse than I remembered. I should have stuck to my 'never watch the prequels again' vow, but I was weak.

I watched Empire back in March. It would be awesome to have more free time to see them movies more often.

I watched ROTJ back in Feb. It was a preliminary start to the Radio Drama that a fellow college buddy was doing for his final project.

I know exactly what you and Gaffer mean. I actually thought RotS was the best of the prequels the first time I saw it. Now I think its probably the worst when judged as an everyday movie. There is so much useless crap in that movie to sift through. What the hell was the plot? At least you could claim that Attack of the Clones tried to be a mystery/love-story despite totally failing with both. Though to the credit of Revenge of the Sith, it does actualy have some amazing sequences and by far the most moving dramatic moment in the PT at its end.

The last time I watched any of the Star Wars films was when I made back-up DVD-R copies of the "faces" Laserdiscs, one set for myself, one for my nephew. I made a few mistakes and had to re-record a few discs, so I was pretty burned out on them by the time I was finished. That was a few months ago, and I haven't watched them since.

Since the new OOT DVDs are coming out in September, I'm going to TRY to hold out and wait until the new DVDs come out before I watch them again.

about three weeks ago- in a delayed Anniversary celebration of the firing of three very mean former teachers of mine (because of a may class) watched all six movies, one per day, finishing with RotJ- OCP's classic edition-paired with the "Night on Bald Mountain/Ave Maria" finale of "Fantasia".

I find myself watching OCP's version of Empire at LEAST once per week.
But I just finished my second viewing and its only wednesday.
For some reason, the "Hey, That's My Dinner" line has ALWAYS bothered me.

A couple days ago. I found out my little sister's never seen the OT (God knows how that happend). She ended up seeing Episode 1 somehow and thought all of Star Wars must be awful. So I had to sit her down last week and force her to watch the first two (I don't have an edited copy of ROTJ, and I'm not about to let her watch the DVD version). She really liked them. And when I asked about the Greedo situation, she told me it was obvious that Greedo was about to kill him. She didn't think any less of Han because of it, but she still thinks he's an asshole.

I just sat down with the wife and watched ROTJ yesterday. Later she said to me something like "why on earth would they want to put that bratty guy from episode 3 in there?"

lol, we all know it don't we?
