The best classic rock album of all time. — Page 7

I like Breakfast in America by Supertramp. I had an acquaintance that committed suicide after high school during a drug induced rant, and I always connected the song Goodbye Stranger to that. The lyrics “feel no sorrow, feel no shame / come tomorrow feel no pain” reminded me of the incident, all of the lyrics sounded like they applied to that situation actually. It makes it difficult to enjoy listening to the song, even though I would consider it one of the greatest songs ever written or performed.

I just recently picked up a copy of Damn the Torpedoes by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and I really liked it! I would have to listen to it a couple more times before I could say if it was one of my favorite albums of course, but I definitely see why it is considered great.

That was the working title for Boston’s “Don’t Look Back.”

I’m currently halfway through side 1 of Exile on Main St. by the Stones.

I somehow have gone my entire life without hearing it so I’ll let you know how I like it. Not that anyone cares.

I can’t tell you the best album because I own none of them, a little before my time actually, but when I do listen to music, it’s always classic rock. Taking a bit of a break from tunes, because tunes and emotions don’t mix.

Some of my favorites though in no particular order:

Queen
Steve Miller Band
Boston
Styx
The Eagles… Oh my God, I love the Eagles
Lynyrd Skynyrd

Not even the tip of the iceberg, but these are who I listen to the most.
I play acoustic guitar sometimes and I find that classic rock was the era of GREAT guitaring. I don’t know what happened after the 80s.

I am not lost. I know exactly where I am, I am in some shitty fucking hell, which is exactly what I deserve. But you… YOU are lost. All my life I thought that I needed you, that I couldn’t survive without you, fuck! Fuck! It was the other fucking way around. It was the other way around.

I’m doing a marathon of all Eagles albums right now on vinyl as a part of digitizing my vinyl collection, and I’m just loving it! I’m currently halfway through One of These Nights, a criminally underrated album in my opinion. Next up, Hotel California!
