Hey folks...

I can't remember *why* they were promo-ing Star Wars, maybe it was because of the SE in theaters. But the promos were hilarious. I think there was one every day for two weeks or something like that.

It starred two 30 year old geeks. One would run up to a big page-a-day calendar hanging on his wall, say something like "only 10 days left till [something?]"...

One that I specifically remember is one fellow asked the other, "hey did your mom get our jedi robes made yet?" and the other replies, "*sigh*.. no, the fabric is still on backorder..."

Very funny. Yes. But am I dreaming here? Did these actually exist... and if so, did anyone have any of them taped? hmmm....

The only ad I remember was the theatrical trailer, which feature a small TV showing up the battle of Yavin, and a narraton saying something like "a whole generation has only watched Star Wars like this", and then they showed Star Wars on full, widescreen, and told a little bit every movie. I remember that before ANH and ESB they had a little teaser trailer for the next movie.
