If the damn drugs don't kill me, they give me a 50% chance of still being here after 5 years, (actually it is either a 75% or 25% chance depending on the subtype, but the test to find out costs around $8,000 and won't change the outcome anyway, so I'll take the average 50% stat) - so with any luck I'll be still around when the BluRay/HD-DVD/3D version of the trilogy comes out

Look at all of these posts! Laserman has done such a great service to his preservation brethern, and that's never been more clear than now! I have to say Laserman, when I first started coming here earlier this year, it was your informative posts that made me realize that this place was worth bookmarking. I'll be praying for your treatments and speedy recovery, and I hope we will be able to hear from you again soon! Again, thank you for all of the great information, hardwork, and professional attitude. The intelligence that you've fostered in these discussions is a precious commodity, and for that I am eternally in your debt.

It really won't be the same without you, Laserman. Whenever I saw your name in the new posts column, that's where I went first. Please try to drop in on us once in a while. But more importantly, look after yourself. I will miss your presence here greatly.

Hey Laserman. I don't really personally know you, but I have read tons of your posts and they have been extremely informative, so thank you so much in regards to all you've done for this community, such as it is. Aside from all that, though, and much more importantly, good luck, take care, and get well soon!

This is indeed sad news, Laserman. I can only echo the sentiments of others and wish you all luck with the treatments. Perhaps by the time you get back, I'll have scraped together enough to make my second donation to the project! ;^_^
