Not a snowball's chance in hell. Armageddon is a fun movie, but has so many scientific holes in it. So there is the complete lack of credibility.

Top Gun has the love story from hell in it. I hate everything about the whole Tom Cruise/Kelly McGillis love story and cannot watch anything even remotely related to it (save for Goose's "you know... the bird" bit while Cruise is flirting with her in training). Otherwise, no. The fighting sequences are cool, no question. But, in this movie, that is not enough for me.

Black Hawk Down just has some of the greatest action sequences I've seen. The movie starts strong and never lets up throughout. Plus, I cannot recall any cheesy effects scenes in it at all. And I've heard from people who have been involved in similar situations that it's very realistic. What I find to be the weirdest thing about it is that BHD is a movie in which it ranges from "very difficult" to "nearly impossible" to identify one character versus another, yet you feel a sort of sympathy for these characters that you normally cannot feel for characters in any other Bruckheimer film.

I think Bossk just hit on why I can't stand modern war movies.

They are supposed to be so personal, but you can't tell anyone apart.

However, I will admit that I was able to identify and did feel emotion for Tom Hanks' character in Saving Private Ryan. However, that is a one-watch movie... you see it once, and you really cannot watch it again. Or maybe that's just me.
