A little bit, but still confusing. Let's try to decipher it.
"I hate the KKK." - OK, so do I.
"There was a protest at my school today..." - OK, a protest...
"...and about a picture of the KKK the students sat in." - About a picture of the KKK the students sat in? Ok, let me try to understand this one... There was a protest about a picture of KKK members? The students sat in the picture? They protested by doing a sit-in? Could you refrase that?
"I wasn't in it the people in it got suspended,..." - You wasn't part of the people who got suspended. Is that it? A better way to write this would be "I wasn't part of the people who got into this, they were suspended."
"but at least they got on the news." - OK I got that one.

I don't hate that.. Just that the news has to be so obsessed with it. Why did she even friggin' have to go there to begin with. I wish I'd never heard of Martha Stewart!
As for the KKK... I don't hate them. They're so messed up I just laugh at them. I do hate their message, though. As if a man can choose his race.

I do know that with regard to the KKK, we have laws that say that any group can really meet and organize and whatnot. It's just a matter of their particular activities that might cross the boundaries of the law.

On the topic of racism; I hate when people read and accuse racism where there is none.
ExampleClick here. My reply is last; most of the thread is just a bunch of girls chatting though....

How come there's so much ignorance? Aren't we all human beings?

It is strange isn't it? How anyone can justify those things is beyond me. It goes against everything the USA stands for. As far I know, "whites only" things have been outlawed. If anything a bus, a toilet, a restaurant said "whites only" I would refuse to use it and I am white. And I agree with you, we are all human beings. I wish everyone would realize that.

A lightsaber is A light source, but not the only one. A lit lightbulb casts a shadow in the sunlight.
if light went through it, you wouldn't see it.
And it is not a swiffer mop handle. It's a 18" one-handed saber. The blue foam was the only handle I had at the time.

Sure, but it's canon that 'saber's don't cast shadows. They edited them out of the DVD during the Vader Fight of RoTJ, and that's the only time they've casted shadows as far as I know.

In coloquial English, it probably would be something like:
"There was a KKK photo-shoot at School. I hate the KKK, so I wasn't in it, and the students that were got punished. But the lucky dogs got on the news!"
