Geez, Ric, that reminds me. I have school starting pretty soon, and I can't remember how I managed to stay awake for those college all-nighters. Bleh. Fear, probably, since I'd be so busy that I'd always have to put off papers until the night before they were due... or sometimes until the actual day they were due.

That reminds me of a funny story my wife told me - in her hometown there is a mental home and one of the 'guests' is a drug dealer who was running away from the cops and hid his stash of liquid LSD under his hat as he escaped. The bottle leaked, drenching his head in the halluconogen and to this day he thinks that he is a glass of Orange Juice. If you touch him he starts screaming because you might spill him.

Anyway, I hate travelling to work on the underground. It's cramped, hot, and always delayed. Plus I heard that it's so dirty down there that an avaerage journey is equivalent to smoking 5 cigarettes. And I don't smoke, so that pisses me off.

Because, just before the filming of the Scarlett Johansson and Ewan McGregor love scene in The Island, she said she hated her black bra and wanted to do the scene topless. He refused to let her. I'll bet he's kicking himself right now. I think the prospect of seeing SJ topless would've been enough for the movie to recoup its production costs. Instead it floundered in its no-nude-SJ nonglory.

Maybe he was avoiding an R rating? Which I also think is stupid, do the movie you wanna do regardless of the rating, who cares if it ends up being an NC-17, as long as it's the movie you want?

Well, if it was NC-17, it wouldn't get any distribution.

I just assume he made sure it stayed PG-13 because it has a slightly larger viewer range than an R rating (IE teens out without their parents)

Well if I was a filmmaker I would film the movie the way I feel it's right, with nudity or gore if it has to, and whatever rating I get it's ok by me. NC-17 movies do get distributed, how was I able to watch American Psycho?

Well if I was a filmmaker I would film the movie the way I feel it's right, with nudity or gore if it has to, and whatever rating I get it's ok by me. NC-17 movies do get distributed, how was I able to watch American Psycho?


I don't know, but AS A GENERAL RULE most theatres... or at least the ones in my area... don't play NC-17 movies.
