Anyone here excited already? I'll probably watch it although I don't know much about it.

My brother loves American Football and goes to the Irish pub were a lot of Americans come together to watch the Super Bowl on a big screen.

Sadly it'll be broadcast here on a cable channel I don't have access to - ESPN and Fox Sports both lost the broadcast rights this year, so it's the first Superbowl since Superbowl XXX I won't watch at least 15 minutes of it.

nope I will not be watching it. I might catch highlights later on the news.

I am a new england patriots fan (I live in MA).

The greatest thing for me was that the patriots and the red sox both won in 2004-2005. The superbowl and the world series.

Being a fan of new england and MA pro sports it really sucks to be right now. The celtics suck, the patriots chocked for the second time in 2 years, the bruins are abysmal and might if there lucky get the wild card to the stanley cup but I doubt it. Then theres the red sox or as i call them the red suxx. Hopefully they will do better this year became the last 2 seasons were extremely pitiful for the second highest salary team in baseball. i mean the yankees sucked donkey balls in the playoffs and still made it farther.

Now for those over the top ads, they have every year people will be talking about.

I know I'm a sore loser, yet I think it's time for payton manning to win his first ring.

But at the same time I want the bears to crush the indianapolis colts just for shits and giggles. So payton can be the next dan marino. one of those he'll get into the hall of fame but he's got no rings. HA! HA!

I'll probably be driving back to school at around that time, so I doubt I'll see it. It's probably better that way. My girlfriend and her family have some kind of weird fetish for the Manning family (I go to Ole Miss, by the way), but I was born in Chicago, so I have a natural affinity for Chicago teams. Volatile mixture.

This is exactly why I bought my 50" DLP and satellite service. Watching a game like this in HD and 5.1 surround is about as good as it gets.

I think both teams have the ability to shut down the other and win convincingly. It will depend on whatever tone is set in the first quarter I think. If the Bears D comes out and gets to Manning early, I think it'll be over. If Rex comes out and throws a couple picks and a fumble or two like in that Green Bay game, forget about it.

In my mind though, Peyton Manning is still the modern-day Dan Marino: Stats better than anyone else in history, yet a perennial loser of the big game. This is his chance to prove people wrong.

Hey Sky, I feel your pain. I'm an Oakland Raiders fan, and I also am a fan of what ESPN has called the worst franchise in sports - The Chicago Blackhawks. Can't help it, I just love that team and will never abandon them no matter how bad they are.

I'm going to go with the Colts even though I don't watch much of the NFL, more of an NCAA man myself. Personally I just want Peyton Manning to win a Super Bowl.

Rooting for the...Bears...this year and I'm going to be the only person in my family doing so.
Reason 1: I want Peyton Manning to be this generation's Dan Marino. Top-notch QB, just never getting the ring.
Reason 2: In the grand NFC vs. AFC scheme of things, I'm an NFC fan.

The reason I'm the only one rooting for the Bears? I and my family are huge Packers fans. They can't get past the fact that the Packers and Bears are arch-rivals.

This Super Bowl marks a milestone, however, for the family. Its the first time we'll be watching in HD. I watched the Packers vs. Bears game on New Years Eve in HD just over a month ago and it was amazing.

I spent my Super Sunday getting beat up by little kids which by the way no matter how tough you are a 11 year old girl can still beat you up. I hate kids.

If Bears fans weren't crying enough for a better quarterback, they'll be calling for Rex's head on a platter all throughout the offseason. Grossman really stunk the place up on Sunday. Good job Peyton, you didn't have to be great and you still won the game. I think your RB's should have shared the MVP honor though. They were the real reason you won the game.
