Hi there fellow Star Wars fans,
I’m sure you Clone Wars fans have friends who refuse to watch the groundbreaking series. And yeah, maybe the theatrical film and those early episodes are a bit tough to get through… Well, I made an edit of The Siege of Mandalore specifically for these Clone Wars deniers!
I made this edit with the thought of what a theatrical release of Season Seven’s final episodes might have been lacking for fans who had never before seen The Clone Wars, or have never even heard of the Ahsoka character. The Goal: Give them an amazing movie experience.
What I did:
- The film begins with A Galaxy Far, Far Away…
- Hard cut to The Tales of the Jedi episode “Practice Makes Perfect.” This episode shows the audience the history shared between, Anakin, Rex, and Ahsoka without having to watch 6+ seasons of the show. Fade to white.
- The classic intro remains intact.
- Added new title card ‘The Siege of Mandalore.’
- Added scene of Anakin’s secret call with Padme from the Season 7 episode “A Distant Echo.” This is the most pivotal scene in Season 7 outside of The Siege of Mandalore, so I felt it should be added. It also ties in nicely to a further addition…
- Spliced Order 66 scene from “Practice Makes Perfect” to fit chronologically into The Siege of Mandalore.
- Added The Tales of the Jedi episode “Resolve,” which depicts Padme’s funeral as well as an epilogue to Ahsoka’s journey.
- Ends with the infamous Darth Vader scene.
Not the craziest edit, but I think it adds just enough to make the Siege of Mandalore feel like a ‘complete’ feature length film, filling in all the gaps for newcomers and long time fans.
