I read Fan Edit boards like here an IFDB. I watch Youtube analyses and video reviews. I try to hear as many points of view as possible. I don’t remember who said it exactly. I interpreted “MeToo” as physical abuse but not specifically sexual.
I have to step into a Platonic realm just to view the new movies? That’s just crazy if you ask me. It’s a trope of an abused animal.
I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.
b48390 thanks for the detailed review. Really glad you appreciated the new overall scene structure. And as I make further changes I’ll look at your suggestions. I’m not a fan of too many cuts which would further reduce the length of the film. So I wouldn’t be doing things like removing Han. Star Wars needs to be a 2hr movie.

Gotcha. I see a couple of my ideas are out the window already lol but I do appreciate the consideration!
Also I never really picked up on coneface being a metoo droid. Maybe that’s what the writers’ intention was and if it was that’s fine by me. TLJ has some animal rights stuff and pseudo-libertarian themes and I didn’t find them to be a distraction.

Also b48390, regarding the Chewie reveal I know how Hal has edited it and this seems to be how you prefer it. I significantly delayed the reveal but put it before Rey senses he’s still alive. Finding out things the same time as a character is one way to present info and have mutually shared surprises with them. Finding out something before they do can also satisfy the audience’s desire to know a secret the character doesn’t know yet. Which adds suspense and makes Rey sensing Chewie believable instead of wtf is she talking about.

Ah yes I will see how Dom’s version of that comes out. Sounds good on paper. But when I tried my own version. I just didn’t quite like the first inkling of Chewie being alive coming solely from Rey’s senses (and Daisey’s acting in that particular scene).

Thanks! Stay tuned because the edit is nearly updated. Boolio is still reduced but now speaks alien with subtitles. Falcon chess scene moved to the end. jonh’s final version of the force ghosts. No more brains in the snow line. No yellow lightsaber at the end (Rey is burying the weapons to focus on what Jedi use the force for: knowledge and defense). Snoke clones replaced with Palpatine clones. Imperial shuttle on Exegol. Falcon departure ending. Thanks to poppasketti!!! Updated force conversation between Ren and Palpatine. Improved cave serpent scene and lots of other tweaks based on input from viewers.

The ending was nice but why did you flip Rey and the old lady? The sun comes up on her left side but she now looks right.
So glad you cut Jannah’s snappy reply to Poe on Endor Moon.
I felt the start was a little messy. How about simplifying your scenes and having Kajimii blow up as your opening scene in one?
Pacing just feels even faster than the original with you cutting each scene up and jumping to the helmet scene from opening. The rest of the movie was nicely paced though. Thanks for letting me view it.

I like this, only the cut from “you remember what you did” to “nooo” feels kinda fast. Looking forward to your final version.
