I got audio all ready to go but found a slight tick sound during a piece of added music, which appears to be present in the source file, so I’ll need to replace it. Don’t worry, the audio tracks will not be what holds it up.

What would you all like to (not) hear in an alternate audio track? V1 had one that removed just the added Knights of Ren voices.
But for an alternate track, why not omit more audio-only changes?
- Duel of the Fates over the DSII duel
- Civilian fleet voices
- Anything else?
Would you guys like to see this, or stick with just removing the KoR voices?

I can’t think of any reason people would be against the two you have listed there. I’ve only ever heard complaints about the Knights of Ren voices.

Yeah, I don’t see any reason why we should have an audio track without those changes. The duel music and the fleet voices have gotten nothing but praise, whereas the KoR dialogue feels a bit cheesy sometimes.
My preferred Skywalker Saga experience:

That being said, I don’t think KoR dialogue should be excluded entirely from this project. I for one am of the opinion that their scenes are extremely awkward without anybody saying anything.

Probably better to leave it at KoR then. Ash and I had already gotten that ready anyway.
At this point everything other than the video stream itself has been finished. I just need a handful of visual elements, but I’m told it could be a couple weeks yet for those, let alone a little time to encode.

I’d agree with an alternate track minus Knights voices. Respect for the work, but just doesn’t jive for me as well.

It’s been a while since I follow your project. I’m really amazed to see soo much passion from everyone working on it. Unfortunately, due to my studies, I was never able to take time to participate to the discussions as I wanted (After having discovered the V1).
I was not aware of the adding of Duel of the Fates over the DSII duel ! Well, to be honnest, I always found the original choice to not play any music during the major part if this duel as an interesting choice from the director. It match with the mood of the context.

Don’t worry, it’s handled tastefully. It’s in V1, and isn’t a new change. (It’s the short tease of DOTF from Maul’s appearance in Solo: A Star Wars Story.)

I see. So, essentially Rey’s eyes (NeverarGreat) and the desert and Kijimi sequences with the crackly saber are left in terms of video stream. I think the remaining stuff with the saber is being done by either poppasketti or RogueLeader.

Okay. Hopefully it won’t take too long. I know you’re probably excited to release V2. I suppose after that’s out, the discussion will move into the Rey Nobody version, unless that will continue on its own thread.

I imagine so, and yeah it’ll be good to get this thing out there and have it finally feel finished. Even so, you never know if enough compelling material will compel a V3 someday. But everything we’ve worked toward will be in this one and it’ll really be something.
Rey Nobody will for now remain something I plan to passively keep an eye on and would make use of whenever it’s fully formed and ready to go.

Are you still considering the change of “attacking” to “silencing” for the opening crawl? I thought that was a great idea.

Nah, it’s such a minuscule alteration and it already pretty much says the same thing. Silencing in the sense of retaliating to make them stop. Plus Ridley’s been absent a while. I really don’t feel a need to fret about this one.

Oh well, it was a neat improvement to clarify the state of the galaxy, but if it can’t be done it’s certainly not worth pushing things down for, being such a small change.
