Oliver was in Cocoon with Wilford Brimley. (If TV was allowed, we could end it right here, because Brimley played Noa in the Ewoks TV movie: Battle for Endor.)
Brimley was in My Fellow Americans with Jack Lemmon.

Using old movies doesn't necessarily make it tough.

Edward Brophy was in The Thin Man with William Powell.
Powell was in How to Marry a Millionaire with Marilyn Monroe.
Marilyn Monroe was in Some Like it Hot with Jack Lemmon.
Lemmon -> Pesci -> Samuel L. Jackson, like before.

I could have also gone Brophy -> Cesar Romero -> Kurt Russell -> Robert DeNiro -> Pesci -> Sammy.
