For those of you who have played "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon," you know how this works. One person makes a challenge and anybody else can respond to it. If you are unsure how to play, watch how others do it and then join in. There are rules, though. Read carefully as, if you break any rules, your response is null and void...
1. The first person to respond correctly gets to make the next challenge. It does not matter if someone else comes back with a shorter linkage; the first response is the winner.
2. You don't need to wait for the challenger to confirm the response. Anybody can go to IMDb to confirm that the link is correct.
3. ACTORS ONLY!!! No directors, producers, etc. unless they have a confirmed role in a movie. For example, you can use Rob Reiner as a link but only in movies in which he has acted. Voice actors are fine (James Earl Jones) as are stand-in actors (Ahmed Best as the bodily stand in for the CGI Jar Jar Binks).
4. No TV shows, miniseries, made-for-TV movies, direct-to-video movies, videos, or video games can be used. It would be nearly impossible to confirm that Joe Schmoe had a cameo on one episode of Saturday Night Live in a single sketch, so we do not use them. You can tell what's what in IMDb by looking carefully at a listing... (V) after a listing means it's a video, (TV) means it's a made-for-TV movie, "TV Series" means just that, (VG) means video game, etc. Just look carefully.
5. The only eligible links are made using theatrically released movies. I don't care what country it was released in, just so long as it was on the big screen there. I also don't care if they are deleted footage appearances. So long as it can be confirmed via IMDb. Movies that have not yet been released cannot be used either.
6. Along those lines, "archived footage" does not count. So, for example, Jimmy Stewart appears in archival footage in the movie Gremlins in a scene where his film It's A Wonderful Life is playing in the background. That does not mean that Stewart was an actor in Gremlins. Nor were JFK or Lyndon Johnson actors in Forrest Gump.
7. You can link to any actor that has appeared in any SW FILM that was in theaters. "Droids," "Ewoks," and the Holiday Special among other TV released shows or videos do not count. That means Episode I, II, IV, V, and VI. When May 19 comes around, Episode III will be eligible to be used in this game. But not until then.
8. Some people, in the past, have preferred to only use the OT actors as opposed to PT actors. That is your personal preference. I don't care. But I am not making a rule regarding it. PT and OT are fair game.
9. Only one challenge at a time. If a first responder opts to give up their chance to pick the next challenge, the first person to post a new challenge is the active challenge. If two people post a challenge at the same time, the first post listed chronologically on the forum is the next challenge.
10. One (1) movie linking two actors counts as 1 degree of separation. Obviously, six is the maximum. If you exceed six, don't even bother posting it. It won't count.
11. Appearing as yourself in a documentary or any film, for that matter, is fine. Archived/Stock footage is not. This means that if the footage of a person was not originally shot for the film in question, then it does not count as an acting appearance. IMDb makes the distinction by listing archived footage appearances as just that "Archived Footage." An example of this is George Bush "appearing" in Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit: 9/11." His footage was copped from a previously used source. He was not filmed specifically for this movie. So, Bush would not count as an actor in F:9/11.
12. These rules are subject to change, but since this is my thread, I make the official rule changes. If you have an idea for a rule, post it. If I, and others, like it, I will make it canon and add it here.

Here's an example of how this is played...
Chevy Chase (Spies Like Us) Frank Oz (Empire Strikes Back) Yoda
Please remember to give the character name if it isn't obvious to everybody. Some people may not realize that Temuera Morrison played Jango Fett.

LET'S PLAY!!!
The first challenge is a simple one, but since he is the original namesake for this game, I feel it only appropriate to open with...
Kevin Bacon
--Vizzini (Wallace Shawn), The Princess Bride
