The pilot has been restored on the blu ray release of ghostbusters 1 and 2 4k steel book edition, I can confirm its on the disc since I own this recent release.

Bumping this thread to say that I’ve reached out to a user on the spleen who has experience restoring cartoons to HD, having done for example a 720p restoration of the 2003 TMNT cartoon and a 1080p restoration of Extreme Ghostbusters. Hopefully, I’ll get some much-needed feedback from him.

Can anyone provide me with a complete copy of the real ghostbusters series in 1080p?
I wish I can help you, but due to the current crisis, I haven’t been able to find motivation to continue this project. I want to finish what I started, but the way I see it, I can’t do it alone. Any help, both technical and financial would be much appreciated. What I mean by financial help is that I am considering buying Topaz Video Enhance AI to speed up the process, however the $199 price is too much for my wallet. But if nothing else comes up, I can resume work on this in 2021.
