Stunt Doubles are nature’s way of making Kwisatz Haderachs in this particular timespace.

I would prefer Kathleen be the one holding the blaster to Colin but it’s whatever.
I’m sure this is old and probably already posted as well, but I don’t remember it.

And just like that, Phasma is an interesting character again.
If she accompanied Kylo Ren to Endor to get Vader’s helmet, meeting the Ewoks again got really awkward! 😛
I once had this crazy idea that Mace survived the events of Battle For Endor and rules over the Duloks like Col. Kurtz in Apocalypse Now.
Where were you in '77?

Again?

Yeah, I’m curious what did it for you.
Scratch that, I definitely do not want that information.
Her characterization was so light in TFA I’m not even sure a novel could flesh her out enough for me to find her interesting.

You’re telling me you’ve never found a character in a novel interesting.

That’s not what I’m saying; what I’m saying is that she has so little characterization that not even a novel could add a significant amount depth to her.

That doesn’t make any sense. If she had little to no characterization, a novel would have plenty of space to add depth.
Think of all the characters who don’t even exist before they appear in a novel. You’re saying not even a novel could add depth to them?

Too bad, you’re getting it.

Not in any meaningful way…Thing is that the author wouldn’t be pulling information from the source material to further develop Phasma; she would be inventing things that would add artificial depth to Phasma. Whatever characterization is added will not be felt in TFA (which is the likely case for TLJ and IX as well) so it’s essentially meaningless. That’s just me though.

There couldn’t be a more dissimilar voice from JEJ than McKenna’s.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

Now THAT is the kind of tangential film they need to make.
“Are you an assassin?”
“I’m a soldier.”
“You’re neither. You’re an errand droid, sent by grocery clerks…”
For what it’s worth, I did read the Phasma novel, and it was one of the better ones from the new canon. Certainly the weirdest of the bunch.
an oldie, yet still good…

It’s really not their fault the Empire went with the low bidder on the Trooper helmets.
Even Luke complained he couldn’t see a thing while wearing one.
