I've heard mention numerous times in Prequel threads and in Red Letter Media's Attack of the Clones review that Anakin should have been the mature, responsible one in the Padme/Anakin romance, truly concerned about the repercussions as a well-meaning young Jedi. And Padme should be the Senator whose whole life has revolved around politics and plotting, making her wish to settle down.

Well, I attempted to re-edit the fireplace scene to reflect these desired attributes. While the edit wasn't a success, it is still very amusing, especially one of Padme's lines (you'll know which).

What if instead of Syfo-Dias (?) the cloners of Kamino told Obi-Wan that Qui-Gon had ordered the army? To the Jedi Council sense this would make since Qui-Gon often defied them and was more a rebellious Jedi.

I don't know if Qui-Gonn would work, but something that has relevance is certainly better than what it is at present. I mean, a jedi master we never heard of who already died. Brilliant, George.

There are a number of reasons why things don't happen. Just the simple complication of replacing Syfo-Dias and Qui-Gon in the conversation for example.

A lot of times people just don't agree with ideas. That is why there are more prequel edits than there anything else. Just ask Frink.

My best advice to the person who wants their ideas realized, do your own edit. Again, that's why there are so many edits out there.

It looks like Vader in an act of devilish cunning has removed his arms before Kenobi can get to them.

With Kersh on our minds so much in these sad days, here's a quote from him that anyone reworking the PT or ROTJ might want to take on board, "I like to fill up the frame with the characters' faces. There's nothing more interesting than the landscape of the human face.".

I've never noticed that before but come to think of it faces (mostly human) do feature largely in ESB and probably lend something to the intense characterisation in that episode.

Maybe a bit of re-framing to put greater emphasis there could improve some of the character shots in the PT.
