I actually find that announcer to be more annoying than Jar-Jar. XD But yeah, in general, with Episode I, I think little edits like that would make a huge difference. Also, Jar-Jar needs to be toned down. I don't have a problem with him as a character, but he gets WAAAAAY too much screen-time. Also, Anakin's "Yippieeeees" and babbling while he's in the Starfighter needs to be cut. Just the audio there, though. IMO. lol

Btw, I'm pretty sure the 'Yoda lands on Dagobah' scene was included in the bonus disc of Episode III as a deleted scene, wasn't it?

And, what is this scene about Jocasta Nu and Obi-wan talking about Dooku I'm reading about up there? ^ Cause it looks REALLY interesting. Is there any footage of that scene floating around anywhere?

 I really think so.  I don't know where it is though.

LOL, that's pretty cool! It's really different, but interesting. When I said 'toned down', I really meant cutting a lot of the uneccesarry scenes of just Jar-Jar.

WOW! Thanks, I had no idea that scene was even completed.  I dont think the placement was done right.  It broke the rhythm of the ending.  If it could go somewhere else I would be all for the scene being re-inserted.

Yeah, I think he put it in the wrong spot cause the music doesn't flow.

The Yoda on Dagobah scene is absolutely included on the ROTS disc 2.  And several faneditors have included it in their edits.

I can't remember who first mentioned it here but there was a suggestion of the Tantive IV [or whatever it was in rots] going to Dagobah and the Skywalker twins being born there.

I'd much rather have Yoda simply stay behind on the planet after this. I think it's simpler than having him travel there solo.

Well I like the idea, and it's kind of a 'two birds with one stone' situation.

You are right though, It doen't need to be done, I just prefer it to what exists currently.

 Yeah, it actually was on Episode III's bonus disc.  How could you have never seen it?!

It might be possible that Ghost hasn't bothered to put the bonus disc into his DVD player (maybe he only has the much rarer VHS version) it's also possible that Ghost saw ROTS in the cinema and didn't see it again until it was shown on television.

So how did you miss it Ghost?

I vote for getting rid of them altogether. Too 'Earthy,' like that stupid diner scene. Maybe just add a non-corny PA voice, or a cool alien-sounding one.

But yeah, axe the announcer unless a cooler alternative can be found.

I'm also for taking the extended podrace scenes on the TPM DVD and cutting some of them into the film cut and then shortening the podrace to two laps by taking some existing scenes out. For instance, there's a cool shot of Anakin on the deleted scene where one of his engines comes off and his pod starts spinning but he keeps his cool and hooks it back up. Shows he has the skills.

Maybe replace those Tusken's with Aayla Secura?(if that could be done).

If I remember correctly, that bit where Anakin is spinning was a deleted scene as far as the Theatrical goes, but on the DVD George added it into the film.  Having said that, I hate that bit.  That magnetic tool is lame.

When I was a child I grew up in a valley with a horse racing track looping around it.

The sound of the announcer on race days was wierdly distorted and echoey and it sounded very scary, something like that would be cool.

The pale faced girl was bounty hunter Acer Venturara and she detects her prey using awful slapstick routines, shouting and pulling childish faces.

I guess I have never scene that deleted scene.  I am on SW message boards (I don't really go there anymore), and I heard that the scene wasn't fully done yet.  Oh well, at least I now it exists now

And yeah Bingowings, a scary voice re-dub of the announcer would be cool.

The girl who is standing around during the podrace and Lucas swore up and down was going to play a major role in Episode 2?  I'd rather have her deleted, and while corny, Tuskens shooting at the race for giggles makes more sense than an obvious assassin take pot shots at pod racers.

Yeah because obviously no one like Sebulba or anyone else who wanted him to win would have her try and take Anakin out of the race right?

But yeah, reducing the threatening Tuskens in ANH to slapstick counterparts in the PT sounds great!
